I have a similar resin casted Mark 1 that i bought off ebay recently; it's not a split piece however it is 1:1 in size and detailed nicely. I'll post pics of it a little later as my laptop is down due to a faulty cord; waiting on it's replacement so I'm working off my iPhone. Really nice work though bro!

No actually not similar at all.
You bought the recast Museum replica, only resin Mark 1 out that I know of. Not even close it was an epic fail IMO.

The only differences I see is the final outcome of the paint scheme and maybe a slight size offset. Other than that BOTH masks are based off the hero prop. But since you both put it like that I tell you what; I'll get to work on mine and after it's been prepped, painted and weathered we can compare the two. After all, a lot of us here are fairly talented.
Has nothing to do with paint actually. A friend has that nasty replica and I tell ya it's totally the wrong shape and too long. The mouth is in the wrong place too wide , the brow is rounded and has no point to it. The back is completely rounded with zero edge on the top and the eyes are simply wrong. It does not compare but hey if you like your"RECAST" prop that's all that counts.

Seriously though, I guess they are both domes with rectangle eyes and 3 holes for a mouth. If that's what you're basing it on then they are identical to each other. But I am certain that the "fairly talented" members of this board can see many more not so subtle differences with these 2 helmets.

RECAST...this true and I do commend your work, but I did say SIMILAR not THE SAME
I guess I touched on a sensitive subject with my recasted mask but I see your eye for detail didn't catch the word "similar" in my comment because that's what I said, not "the same" or "identical". I know there are differences in craftsmanship of the masks and I can also see that I'm out numbered here so I leave this thread to the favorited majority. Good day to all
