Iron Man mkIII 3D Print Files - FREE

Hello all!
First constructive post here.

I have been working on a IM mkIII display for a while and now I'm starting to make some of the smaller, more detailed parts. I have found the easiest way to generate these is on a 3D printer as many have already done. As 3D printers become more accessible to everyone I figured I would go ahead and create a thread where I could make these files available as I go and share them with the group.

Any helpful criticism is MUCH appreciated. From my experience lurking on this board for some time I have found many of the members here to be extremely talented and I would certainly welcome the feedback.

I am using 3dsMax for all of my modeling and generally converting the max files to .obj for print. If you need any other format there are free file converters out there... Sorry, but it has become overwhelming try to convert files for everyone.

Thanks for sharing these amazing files man!
I will give it a try later today ;)
I needed to print a hip pod later today anyway so this is perfect timing :D!

Great! Would you happen to know what the diameter of the pod is? I am finding 15cm to about right, but I am just not sure.

Thanks! Any comments on the accuracy are much appreciated. I have access to a few renders of the movie model, but without the actual model it's hard to get everything 100% perfect.

Been getting a lot of requests for the files as .obj's... so I converted models to .obj and added links just below each posting. If you require a different file format just let me know and I will get it to you.

Enjoy!

Printing the HipPod right now! Takes 5 hours and 21 minutes with 381 layers, layers are set to 0.1mm!

Thanks for the files!!!(y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I tried the arc reactor yesterday, but that did not work out with my 0.5 mm nozzle, bc those lines are super fine. Gonna change to a 0.25 nozzle after work and see how that works.
