Iron Man mkIII 3D Print Files - FREE

One question Kenlandrum, how do I print the objects in my size? I measure 6 "or a little more, in centimeters would be 1 meters 84 centimeters

Hello kenlandrum!

Keep up the good work!
Hope to see some more pics sometime soon

Thanks to kenladrum, I was able to finish my helmet ... right now it is pretty bad and unsmooth but good enough for the project I need to turn in ...
I hope to learn how kenladrum makes his models soo smooth?

Hello all!
First constructive post here.

I have been working on a IM mkIII display for a while and now I'm starting to make some of the smaller, more detailed parts. I have found the easiest way to generate these is on a 3D printer as many have already done. As 3D printers become more accessible to everyone I figured I would go ahead and create a thread where I could make these files available as I go and share them with the group.

Any helpful criticism is MUCH appreciated. From my experience lurking on this board for some time I have found many of the members here to be extremely talented and I would certainly welcome the feedback.

I am using 3dsMax for all of my modeling and generally converting the max files to .obj for print. If you need any other format there are free file converters out there... Sorry, but it has become overwhelming try to convert files for everyone.

Having issues printing the hand file made by andy to print. Theres a lot of thin spots making it brittle. I have a replicator 2. Do you have any suggestions on things like infill and other fine tune print settings that i should tweak to make this file come out good? Thanks.

Yes, I have been VERY busy with work and the holidays, etc... No updates except for this website I was looking at. A bunch of Chinese stuff you can get for pretty cheap... Check out the IM mk3 hands for sale:
Wholesale/Retail Free Shipping FS Marvel Iron Man Head Play Hand Assemble 2012 EL Products Cosplay Toy Loose-in Action & Toy Figures from Toys & Hobbies on Aliexpress.com

...only problem is I don't see a left hand. BTW, who here has a 3d printer in the USA?

Yeah, well Shapeways is a bit pricey for the trouble IMO, I am splitting the suit into small parts for a smaller format printer and would like to try it out. For me shapeways has been a good way to share the models... seems like some of the models print fine on personal printers while shapeways keep throwin' errors to me. I am sure Shapeways is fine for some but I just dont have the patience.

Your files or the ones you were talking about? So far I've only done a couple parts to drumguy's helmet. Haven't had mine long and I'm finally getting the hang of it. Printing a jaw right now as we speak!

Here is the faceplate I printed a few weeks ago. I split it in half and printed it in two pieces in order to minimize the amount of support material needed. It could have used some more sanding but it didn't come out too bad for my first attempt at painting something I printed.
