Sweet work. I am attempting my first project after seeing all of this amazing work on here.

One quick question, are you using 1/2" foam or are you using something thinner. I've been having trouble working with 1/2" foam as its too thick sometimes to make the shapes I want. Your stuff looks so detailed I just wanted to know. Thanks.

Convert mm to inches - Conversion of Measurement Units

I use 1/4" foam(I think), found in a large roll at Big 5
1/2" foam is way too thick



Here's me wearing the upper body. I wont be able to give any updates for a week or so because I'm out of foam and spending money :cry

Im very jealous, the mark 5 is by far my favorite and most complex to paint. the proportions look good on you as well. congrats.

Sick job. I don't like building with foam but I'd love to tackle this with styrene, If I ever get the chance.

Will be getting started in a couple days, when getting my pepakura program, do I need the designer version or will the viewer version work for me? As I will only be using files from what I find here for my first project. Also, will I need the WinRar program as well, and when using all this? Only need to be able to read the files I guess, maybe sizing it too, but does that work on the basic pepakura version? Using foam instead of paper is all I need to do is remove the flaps in the 2D menu? The material part for me is easy to swallow, the computer portion is what scares me.

This is bad-ass mate! The missus is gona kill me when I tell her I need a mk V as well as the mk VI I'm still building. I'm tall n skinny too, and it would be cool to try a more fitted suit, so the mk V would be perfect. Keep up the great work buddy! :)

This is definitely...GREAT!

I can see only problem with this since it's a one piece suit...mobility with the abs? e.g. bending, twisting? But I'm sure you already have plans for that.

All in all it's great!

awesome work dude first pep mk 5 that ive seen i tries to freehand one last year for nycc but it didnt turn out so good but i will def start on this one right away

you have to do the "Batman Turn" where you cant really twist, you have to turn your entire body, but its not bad at all. And the chest doesn't annoyingly pop out of the abs like my other suits tend to do. Idk, I really like it this way.

pepakura designer. The computer portion ain't bad. All you have to do is scale it to your size and print it out. The tabs shouldn't be on my foam template. Also keep in mind that foam templates are only 1 side of the suit, you have to flip each part in order to get both sides when tracing.
