sorry no. I find paper to be very inefficient these days. If you want to do the fiberglass/bondo way then cardboard with foam templates works best. It is easier and faster to pep, holds shape very well(doesn't warp), sturdy, curves well, etc.

Unless you mean to use the paper template for a different purpose.

I get it in store. Most athletic stores should carry them in the section with the yoga mats and weights. Big 5 is the closest to my house. But i'm sure you can find it somewhere online as well.

My brother wants me to make this for him fortunately he's about the same height so I'm hoping for minimal scaling
What would be the best helmet file for the Mk V? I want to do a hard one, glass/bondo etc

I'm going to unfold the helmet when I'm done pepping the rest of my suit. So you can try that. I normally do a foam template with cardboard+bondo on the helmet. Like on my mk 42 that I built for a client

I thought I'd show some more pictures of the process of pepping this model so people can get a better idea how the jigsaw puzzle thing works.

Initial print and cut out

Texture cutting

Tracing left shin and right shin

Assembling process using reference pics on how each piece should be glued.

Finished shin/calfs!

Suit so far

Boots, hands, and joints are next. Helmet will be last! opcorn

Yup, just have to finish workin with the joints and make a helmet and I can finally paint it!


Update:

Flexible Gloves!

By the way I decided to remove the biceps from the torso and attach them to the forearms


Does anyone know how to make the shoes flex at it's pivot point and how to attach them to some old pair of shoes without falling off?? Maybe some of those plastic rolly pully thingy majiggys? where do you buy them at?

just some $4 gloves from walmart, the glue adheres just fine and plasti dip+primer will make it look solid before painting.

I'm going to post a detailed tutorial thread for it in a week or so with some edited pep files.
