Iron Man Mark 42 (Foam). !!UPDATE SUIT FINISHED!!! 26.1.15

Re: Iron Man Mark 42 (Foam). !!UPDATE!! 28.10.14

I only have this small piece of foam left but it also works with this :)

1. Step

You have the foam piece and make a line with a pen where you wanna have this kind of sharp line on your suit :)

2. Step

You cut out an triangle out of the foam like shown in the photo below :)

3. Step

You have cut out the triangle and the then you put some hot glue into this triangle and glue it with the angle you want it to be together :) Finish :D

Wow awesome! Thanks so much! I'll be sure to let you know if I attempt a build :)

I'll do that for sure. And just one more thing, what's the size and thickness of your foam sheets that you used?

And how many were needed for the whole suit?

That stuff is Plastazote LD45 with 5mm thickness. I haven't seen anyone from the US use it so far. In my opinion Plastazote is so much better to work with than Evazote. It makes a huge difference.

It has a thickness of 10 mm for almost every part of the suit :) some times I used 5 mm. I had to redo an large amount of parts because I didnt like the finish but I think about 5-6 qm should be more than enough ! :)

I used Plastazote ld 45 with 10 mm the most but that doesnt matter :) Yeah plastazote is so much better specially the way you can bend it with a heat gun and so on :)

Qm is short for Quadratmeter which means squaremeters. You get the idea.

@Max5796
