Iron Man Mark 3 - Beginner

the proportion looks cool man. . .and about the color scheme when changing the mark 6 to mark 4 chest plate and vice versa, you may use the mark 4 colors, just like this:

i personally like the mark 4 colors over the movie color scheme of the mark 6. .

keep it up man :thumbsup

I'm much happier with the proportions on this build compared to my Mark 3, I have now made the Mark 6 the priority over the Mark 3 just because I'm probably never going to actually wear the Mark 3 considering I have this now.
I was unsure with the colour scheme I was going to end up using, it all comes down to if I like the look of the Mark 4 chest piece once it's built, the Mark 4 is only the classic Red and Gold which I honestly prefer , so it probably will be the end result. I'll also save some money not having to buy an extra colour of paint Haha.

Here's a quick update.
Like I said with a recent post I was going to be making a separate Mark 4 Chest to go with the Mark 6 build. I was also redoing a forearm and remaking the abs plate. Here's what I have to show for the past few days.

The new forearm is the pink one, after making it I even decided to cut away a bit where two sections joined on the blue forearm so both were actually slimmed down and look much nicer. The new abs plate is shown to the side of the old one. Still not completely finished, but it's basically all there. The new one has a better shape, an extension on the top plate to work better with the two chest pieces. The extra section on the bottom is so it can fit in place to the pelvis and stay where it should. Lastly the new chest, I just need to fill in a few gaps where certain pieces meet and add the buckles on.

I am still curious to whether it would be worth making a thread for this new build, I am unsure ..considering there is already countless others already made.. Does my build offer anything different compared to other member's builds?

DSC_0155 - Copy.JPGScreenshot_2014-05-01-20-03-13.pngNeed to fit the shoulders into place a bit nicer, same goes for the abs plate.
I have actually made the spine for this also using 6mm foam, I will only add this on after it's been plastidipped and painter, I will simply use velcro for this.

I've linked all the pieces with strapping and buckles. Made a few pieces using Cardboard, this being because the foam I have is far to thick - These pieces being the hip pods and a newer/more accurate collar piece to link the back and chest (I can't glue the chest and back because of the interchangeable chest)
edit.jpg I Made this 'quick' little photoshop to distract my eyes from the poor colours of pink and blue, just to help the imagination.

Looks great!
As for your interchangeable chest, I made an interchangeable last year using webbing and parachute buckles at the sides and shoulders; Switching out the fronts was just a matter of unbuckling/buckling. If you're still using the 9mm, I don't blame you for not using it on your collar; I use 6mm, and that's still a little thicker than I'd like.
