The latest Iron Man armors seem to have a brighter,Bordeaux-red feel to it since Civil War.Could be my impression though, but I definitely like it (better) than the blood-red used on the earlier suits.

Another day and more done. This time I printed fingers for my right hand patterned and built right forearm and elbow.
Also built the neck used a modified mark 8 pattern. Right bicep is first thing tomorrow. Also hope to button up loose ends and heat treat.
The road to paint is in sight.

Finished bicep yesterday morning. Made from pattern from left arm from last year. And with that the suit is fully built in a mere 24 days.

Added a 2” wide elastic strip between cod and backside pieces for comfort and movability, it attaches to the cod with Velcro to make it easier to put on. Also whipped out sewing machine to make buckled suspenders for mid section. Will be adding Velcro to those at tops of shoulders that the chest and back will connect to. The rest will have to wait for my undersuit before I can make it wearable.
Decided to do some “under armor” add ons since I’m on my schedule with this build.
Making above knee inner thigh pieces to help close gaps.

Will start sanding heat treating and spot filling today. Hoping to be painting this suit by the weekend.

Small update just to keep followers of this project informed. I haven’t primed or painted yet because I just started working on a pepper Potts rescue suit and my plan has changed to priming all three suits I’m making at the same time.
Only work I’ve done so sneaky is I finally received my silver under suit and attached all the Velcro making the entire suit now wearable and leaving prime, paint, and lights all that’s left to do.

Picked up a cricut to do all the wordage, icons, and stripes rather than hand paint them all. Can’t wait to get it cutting. Bloody thing has stickers all over it.

Boom! Stickers.
Really regretting not making the files digital, would have made life a lot easier if I could print the pale grey lines on the cricutter vs piece by piece by hand. It is what it is I guess.
I will be painting the chrome sections between today and tomorrow, hopefully finishing stickers by end of week and it being effectively done.
Still not sure if I will be installing a faceplate mech or not. Nycc is in a week and a half so crunch time.

Using Vallejo chrome instead of molotow, it’s not as chromey but it’ll do. Colors look great together, I’m very pleased with how it’s coming together...FINALLY LOL.

Still a good deal of stickers to go but going great. Color is not as deep as it should be but that’s in an effort to hopefully not be mistaken for war machine on the con floor. Not that there’s anything wrong with war machine I’m just saying...I am Iron Man.

Decided to revisit this suit to add stickers and make some changes: fixed under suit and sewed Velcro in place, cut open vents in torso, added text throughout, built and programmed new arc reactor for a more dynamic look.He is now officially complete.
