Iron man 3 Mk 8 in pepakura - A collaboration work

I've done a very quick and dirty color trial.
The new one (shin) is using tan color (not metallic), while the red is still same candy tome red with silver base.
I like to use candy tone because it gives more shades.

The old one (forearm) using metallic light gold color.

My attempt to give a bit silver shade on tan was not successful.

Hmm, which one is better scheme?

Hmm, Johnnymuffintop,
so saying you want to build 3d mannequin of your dimension, translate it in pepakura and build it?
It can be done :love

I have to hijack my own thread to show this awesome build

Tan, military beige, or in my case C100 (WTF?) is not metallic.

My car is champagne, or beige metallic, similar to Mk8, but I couldn't find the spray can version.

The Mk8 I think is metallic looking. So what I wanna do is to spray silver at far distance to give a bit "sparkling". But the wind was too strong, the paint dust never reach the surface. I might wanna search for pearl color (transparent metallic) for the finish.

But yeah, I think i will stick to the tan.

Thanks doc.

How's the build coming?

thats a good idea to get metallic looking, little extra time i have been getting started, gonna take my time i want it perfect. the forearms look really cool and appreciate all the time ya guys puttin in this I know its gotta be a pain in the arse :lol :thumbsup

Finished making the right forearm.
So from left to right:
Right forearm, left forearm, version 2.0, version 1.0.

And they were tattooed on the inside woth "L" and "R" to prevent stupid things happened again.

The PLAN is to have the whole suit available by the end of the year. I don't see how we can't accomplish that.

That looks incredibly awesome! I always found it really hard to make complex curved surfaces using inventor. Are you using the Alias module?

That's the realtonystark or somethings model. It is very impressive. I also have a hard time. E making complex curves in inventor.

when will these be available?
File is available in Junkyard for upper torso.
Do read, or search please.

@IronLeoMan
Tester file no more my friend.
Out of ten, just several return to me. Only one with actual picture.

Thank you.

Decided to separate whole foot into boot, shin and thigh for better scaling.

Finished doing boot v2.0. Not very happy with the result.
Also I have wide foot, this boot was drawn for normal foot.

Shin was the old one, but I think the size is good for me.
Will make a new one slightly bigger

IMIM2, just curious how talk you are, and what would have to be scaled to fit a 5 foot 6 frame.

My height is my issue. thanx.
