Iron Man 3 "MARK 8 Armor" foam build

i finished adding some detail pieces to the lower back and sides..im not looking for 100% full detail and replicating ever little curve and angle so the back and upper front torso are still a little on the flat side with minor scaleing differances in places.. simply cause my target audience is a bunch of drunk 20 somethings on halloween wondering where i bought it lol.....

however im gonna do some fine tuning when i finish building the entire suit and before painting.....and once thats done you guys really get to see the full impact of detail ive done

like i said before awesome build but I do agree with Helagak bout the flatness of the chest so if you form with heat gun to curve more out and build layer to pass arc reactor so it will look more built inside of the chest but not ruin your good idea to spin it on and off. If ya do that your suit will look perfect man, just some friendly advice:) but Im 100% positive your gonna blow your freinds minds when they see it on halloween lol

thanks guys...i got another way to fix the flatness in the front....the back im not too worried about it..... But i will show some picks of that later on

loving this build and looking quite accurat aswell :) im more of a pep man and looking forward to the pep files for this armor to go with my collection :) and i realy wana build it haha

after spending the day and a half studying, i got the thighs mapped and planned finally

is that how you plan build the foam? just draw it from pics onto a 3d surface?

i have to makea bleeding edge armor soon so any info on free handing it would be awesome!

i got the one of the thighs detailing halfway finished today so far...been slacking this week...its all good i should have the suit constructed by october 1st

yeah thats pretty much what ive been doing...figure out the base template first....the kinda rough draft the detailing onto it....it helps having a photo copier that way you dont have to cut up the base templet

knees and shins start sometime tomorrow or wednesday should only take a day or so depending on how busy i get at the shop....then next week some fine tuning and detailing before i paint....

it all about proper measurements and test fittings doing it with the big poster paper first before allows room for error and modifying
