Iron Man 3 "MARK 8 Armor" foam build

Very cool build so far! Did you build the arc reactor from watching a youtube video? I remember seeing a video somewhere out there where the guy used almost all of the same materials. I wish I could find that tutorial again!

yeah i saw a few...but i kinda did my own thing after spending 45mins walkin through the Ace hardware

looks good, got a question tho, probably silly.

On your knee "hinge" what kind of bolts are you using btwn the big washers? they look small enough to not scrape your knee and all that annoying business, just curious what they look like, gnna try to go scoop some for my project. Thanks man, will be back tomoro to see progress.

also, are you waiting last to do the helmet or do you have one done already?

another awesome free hand build :) i'm also building my own mark 8 (i love to call it mark 42. . ) although it's on hold now

keep it up

The hinges are standard binding post with screws and I did the over size washers so I didn't have to reinforce the joints without fiber glassing....I do have a helmet already from an earlier Mark 3 I got on eBay last year.....but since I'm a few weeks ahead. of schedule I'm probably gonna make the new one

Alright here's a little back story I did build a suit before this one in a week and it was crude and **** looking .....came in 3rd at the costume contest...however I lost to a 7foot tall guy dressed up as osamabinladin screwing a goat... that kinda ticked me off a bit.... so I've been actually building the suit in my head for the past year thinking of every little detail and feature I wanted in the new one..even though I didn't start fabricating until a few weeks ago...I was gonna do the Mark 7 before they debut the new iron man 3 armor ...chose the newest because it stands out then all the rest....I have to win and I will win this year... for america

New pictures will be uploaded at 6PM Eastern standard time..if not it means I got stuck doing a tattoi...either way new pictures will be uploaded tonight

I got the knee caps designed and mounted....still gotta add the inner detail using my elastic band method like i did with the shoulders...the should give it a nice look and illusion of realism.....and it is quite comfortable at the knee joint.... zero scraping

Re: Iron Man 3 "MARK 8 Armor" foam build NEW PICS 9/27

here is a couple different views...one with my previous helmet i got on ebay made by my buddy david in germany...lol it saw some ware and tare last year

so the punch line is......THE FEET WILL LIGHT UP......i am working on the feet as we speak.....should be finishing them up in an hour or 2...more pics the

not quite done with the foot and ankle region...but its getting there......30 more days left to finish....should only take me 15

Im all iron manned out for the day worked on it for like 5 or 6 hours today...lets see whats left hand plates, front inner knee detail, back of knee detail, front foot plateing....after all that it should pretty much cover from the neck to toe fully constructed

Tribal Grind, every American citizen will never forget where we we're when th' 911 tragedy occurred. We we're united as one nation and seal team 6 took care of bin laden like I new they would. That being said that would've set me smooth off. This build shows passion and attention ta detail an artistic creativity my tattoos are very important an personal to me permanent art I would like ta see more of your work brah.

Laugh it up fur ball!!! Sent From My SGH T-989 Using Tapatalk 2.

Absolutely fantastic job! And I have to admit I'm loving the color scheme "as-is." The black/white contrast looks awesome. You should do one painted and unpainted.
