Iron Bat / Mark 40 foam

I decided it's time to post so I could get some feedback and ideas generated....

So the basics - the model is BSD's Mark 40 - Gaia's unfold for foam. The ears are long and ridiculous because I wanted Arkham style since I will never be able to afford a legit $200 cowl....And yes, it's foam, not cardboard...it has basketball print on it.

Where I would like some feedback and suggestions is on the shins and wings. I am wanting to go after the Knightquest version but I don't like the spikes going down. I like the flow going up. Should I even have spikes on them? Should I do the same type of wings for mine?

Any feedback and ideas to make this awesome are welcome!

Personally I'd like ta see someone tackle Azrael's BatMan armor he wore while fillin' in for Bruce Wayne after Baine broke his back. Durk, great work so far man your fast.

I agree with Azrael's....I think that would be B.A. I feel slow right now though.... It's baseball season for the kids and we are at the ball field 3 nights a weeks from 5-9pm. Leaves zero time for those days to do anything. If you are not on my facebook I did do the Deathstroke helmet and finished an IP Stealth helmet (primered...lol) for my son.... To hard to focus with so many cool files out there!

Thanks! Kinda hard to see the final product at this stage. The awesome wood grain hides all the details.... I'm ready to get some primer on it.

if i was doing this i wouldnt put the leg spikes. i wasnt really a fan of them on that suit. id just skip them or make them small spikes like....how he had them on his gantlets in batman and robin. yeah not best reference but gives u something to look at so u kno wat i mean. or u can make them look like the spikes on the gauntlets on the batman begins suit. not too big and i think it work. and deff go for different wings. the wings on that suit looks a lil corny. maybe to the part metal part cape like this one...

Thanks for the input...they do look a little "corny" but I wanted something outside the box. I am still torn for what to do with the back section.

I did try on what I have done so far..... it's not strapped, attached, or even fitted yet so it is crooked and off a bit.

Well...here's a bit of an update. Test fit for most of it. I still have to make some elbows and fix the sneakers.

Bloody nice build, however I do agree with the gauntlet spikes, and im also not a fan of the red in the bat symbol, personally think the whole thing should have been blue, or maybe a dark yellow

I will not disagree with any of those comments. After putting this on, I kind of don't want to cover the back so the cape is probably out.

Everything else comes down to taste.... I had to add my own flavor.... Best part about building. That's why I post these suits and not my generic ones (ex. Iron Patriot and ODST). Thanks for looking!
