Irom Man helmet made of aluminum sheet

Hi, I´m new here, and I´m trying to make a helmet with this Alluminum sheet 0,05mm. It´s easy to bend and cut. What do you think?

Is it alluminum foil or sheet? 'Cause that don't look like what I know to be alluminum foil, used in the kitchen

I´ll buy a rubber hammer, to make it more rounded. I´m using the pepakura foam model.

Just a question, how do you intend to cover those joints (like those in the top of the facemask) to make the helmet look smooth and round like it should?

Please don't paint that! Its going to look incredible! You can use some aluminum "all metal" body filler over epoxy on the joints on top of the helmet. It wont look like raw aluminum but it dries silver.

Shade - Those joints in the top will be set together after I use a rubber hammer to make it more rounded. After that, the joints will have less than a millimeter. And I´ll put epoxy to finish.

Remembering that´s my first project. I´ll make more than one, and I´ll make a Halo helmet with this sheet too.

This is awesome without a doubt - I am not metal expert but is it necessary to actually make a cut to form a curve? Couldnt you just form it kinda like a foam build but with hammers instead of heat gun?

Hi Lionyl, that would be perfect, I´ll try to discover how to cut the pieces in the exactly size. But I´ll let this to the second project of this helmet. By now, looks like the size is good.

cool are you planning on allowing the faceplate to move?

i see your putting it together with tape first, are you going to remove it then epoxy or epoxy over it?
i'm asking all these questions because i'm thinking of making an aluminium one too
