Irom Man helmet made of aluminum sheet

Re: Irom Man helmet made of alluminum sheet

(Ironmaided) - Thanks man, I´ll keep working

yeah :) i used a different template to yours, also much less effort, thats why it looks so much worse, i just made it to see if i could get a decent finish XD

I tried to stick with the epoxy clay, but I don´t now why, didn´t work so well. Now I dont´s now what I´ll use. I now that I could weld, but it´s a little beyond of my working tools. And I´ll not buy a solder kit. Perhaps I should try to combine epoxy with adesive tape over it.

same question.. :)

Hi. I spent one sheet to build this helmet. I have 22 here. Probably enough to build the entire suit.

I gained this sheets. It´s used to print newspapers. It´s an offset sheet.

Here in Brazil, a sheet of 2.000 x 1.250 0,8mm, costs US$30,00.

i used a knife :)
how about just regular epoxy?

his aluminium is of a better quality than mine, so probably more expensive than the free that mine is :D but the downside with mine is that the pieces are like 12cm by 20cm...

Hey guys, that´s it. The expoxy clay didn´t work, I know I could try with traditional epoxy, but anyway, the size that I have changed, is a little tight, so I assemble with adesive tape. I didn´t finish the details, because the size it´s not correctly. I will build another one. After all, I gained alot of exp, and I hope to make it right next building.

That's actually sort of amazing. Great material cost, friend, and great work!

By the way, just as a bit of a cultural advice, many English-speakers use a decimal point to indicate dollars ($30.00 instead of $30,00). It keeps us distracted Americans from confusing thirty dollars ($30.00) with three thousand dollars ($3,000) if we skim past the zeros.

I can't wait to see more!
