Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

^ I am amazed by the depth of props, people put into their collection :lol
Be it obscure photos on a wall, all the items on a desk, the magazines and items on George McFly's nightstand.... They research and gather them all.

There is nothing wrong with that of course, but I am amazed. I like props that are iconic, and ones that people immediately see and know what it is from. If I have the correct clock, magazine and Revel Model from a background set table, most fans of that movie would probably have a hard time picking up on it.

Not yet. That project's been on the back burner for a long time, but I'll try to get to it over the Christmas break. The first page front and back is done (multiple scans of big pages needed stitched). The front of the second page, the side where the McQuarrie image goes, is done. I just need to finish up the back of the second page.

What's the best kind of paper to use for book pages? And do you just soak in tea, burn edges to get the weathered look? I'm new to paper props

I prefer coffee (love that smell when it's finnished...). Depending on how dark / aged I want it, I use more or less water. I'm happy with the final results.

One of my homegrown talent had wrapped the "Grail Journal" in a real modern day postal package and was sending the "Grail Journal" to a customer... but as an added "surprise" they wrapped the journal in brown paper and twine using phony Italian Stamps and the Chicago University address (I guess in "The Last Crusade" Indiana was a professor in Chicago?)...Somehow the USPS envelope was taken off and the USPS not realizing that the aged packaging and stamps were not real and decided to make delivery......

So for the Pan Am ticket, I did one for the Last Crusade... since I am pretty much retired from making paper props, I will make the ticket pdf files available for free through my site. You will have to register and you cannot sell it for profit, but anyone is welcome to use it to make something cool for their own collection. I cannot guarantee how long I will be able to keep it available (not a small file).

This thread has been an absolute godsend. I've been hunting for the bible pages for a dog's age, and this thread has yielded so many other goodies. The talent of this community never fails to go above and beyond the call of duty!
