"INDEPENDENCE DAY/INDEPENDENCE DAY::RESURGENCE" Hybrid Alien bio-Suit build.

I started a build of a replica Alien Bio suit from the original "Independence Day" film some years ago but with my health issues and financial issues the build got side tracked and sadly the original head and torso that I did mange to build got binned in a skip while clearing out my garage. I didn't think at the time that a sequel would ever come out as talk of a second film was on and off quicker than a ****** draws (Sorry Admin for the terminology used there!) So what I had done got battered and thrown... Yup a sequel did come out a few months after and yep I did regret my previous actions, I could have kicked myself...Oh well lesson learned I guess!!

So after seeing the sequel...I wasn't blown away as with the first film but it was worth watching on a boring Sunday afternoon while the other half was at work! Having watch "Resurgence" and looking on the internet I managed to find a few concept and computer rendered images of the Alien "Harvester" Bio-suits, After a bit more research I found quite a few concept ideas that were or weren't used in the movie, So with that I started a plan to create a hybrid version of the original Bio-suit in the first movie and mixing it with two concept designs and the Heavy Assault versions seen in the inside scene of the Alien Harvester Queens ship to create a variant...I guess that with any huge society they have different classes of Military hardware, thus could be said of these Alien intruders and destroyer of Worlds!

A couple of weeks ago I ordered 50 kilograms of WED clay and began the task of sculpting the head and hood section for the build and will be working my way down the replica/Hybrid build...As you can see I have left the vertical bars that are seen in front of the eyes in the movies as I'll add them to the head once it's moulded and cast...Seeing the different "Harvester" Bio-suits they have a more Human size torso and waist areas so will be implemented into this hybrid version as I plan to make it a full costume later down the line.

So here's were it was at as of last Friday before I started the moulding process, The mould is now finished and I'm hoping to start a cast sometime this week...
