(In Process) Fem. Ironman Suit / Pepper's Rescue Suit / Irongirl Barracuda Mark ST1

Hello everyone!

Well i build a pepper's rescue suit mixed with irongirl barracuda Mark ST1 and a little of the mark 42 suit.




I started with test different materials, before i decided for which i go for.

First try of the helmet out of sintra



I didn't like the shape and made some thoughts about it. So i continued with a prototype of the chestpiece.
I craft two different chestpieces.



and continued with test lights and a glove prototype.


I began with crafting the helmet out of a foam type.

This worked better and i like the outcome.


Let's see how this will turn out.

I made a technical drawing ("Blueprint", not really but something similar lol) of the whole suit.

I don't work with pepakura files. I design patterns always by myself.


and i continued with the new chestpiece version.

Arc Reactor is done so far. Took me a while, but light is up. Just have to correct the round shape at some points, until i'm full satisfied with the outcome.

Update!

I continued to work on the helmet. I have to add some details and to correct the shape of the basic & the faceplate.



I finished my pauldron piece and added a connection to the upper arm guard.


Upper Arm guard & connected with the pauldron.


Well i work completly without templates or better to say i figure them out by myself. This takes a while, but i like the outcome so far.

Well this is my first painting result. I've no possibilitys to spraypaint anything, because i work in my small appartment |D~~ But for brushpainting its okay. It needs a lot of improvement. I like the outcome so far, but its not the final look, which i want x)


Here you can see the point, where i "leave the"normal" way to cosplay and turn into a fan, who is creating a fanwork." i never go for 100% accuracy from one reference. I use references as a base and interpret "my own version". So my costumes always have a deep personal touch.


This is why my rescue suit isn't silver x red. And why the iron girl isnt blue with rally stripes. I mix it up with several mark versions of Iron Man. I use different artbooks, comics and concept arts as reference.



So lets call this Iron Woman ST Mark I

Looks great, I feel the same way about some things, not being 100% accurate.

I was wondering, what did you use for your arc reactor? And for the helmet, I see that it can open, is it just on a hinge or did you add electronics or are you planning to?

Since you don't work with templates, how do you size things? I am just curious.

Anyway, keep it up.

I use simple LED lights with a push button in the middle. I'm not that into LED stuff and electronics. But i try to learn this stuff in small steps on my own.


I used simple magnet stripes for the helmet. So no hinge and no electronics. This won't be my "last" iron woman suit, so i will add with every new build new stuff. But as i say with led stuff i have/want to learn all the electronic stuff. I'm just into mechanics for now lol.

i don't work with templates from others. I create them on my own. So i have a huge collection of different basic templates for different pieces like helmets, pauldrons, breastplates, shin armors and so on, which have my size. I reshape them and alter them to the look, which i need.

For the most stuff i have sense and a sharp eye. Sometimes i use a lot of paper until it fits

Today i spended my time to figure out which look i want for my personal rescue version / ironwoman

So this is the final outcome. All is handmade from scratch, till end.

Now i continue to craft the other pieces.

And more steps. I taped the front pieces together, to see how it looks.
All parts are seperate and will be attached to a bodysuit for more comfort and better movement abilitys.

I'll redo the arc reactor, 'cause its not the outcome i want now. I want it more detailed.

i like to work in different layers.
