IM Nation's Buzz ligthyear build FOAM

Nice work with the different foam colors, that looks great. I've got a stormtrooper project I want to do this on, just need to find an erasable way to mark my foam (I just use ink pens now).

Hey everyone, should have done this when I got my buzz suit.
This suit is, in my opinion the most realistic looking version out there. I was looking at my signature collection buzz today and comparing all the features, which this suit has all of them. I found some files of his decals that I printed out on magnetic photo paper and glued to the foam. Also theduggo the suit is connected via buckles So it can be adjusted. If I was to nitpick something it would be the shoes. They are a bit awkward to walk in. It will take some getting used to. Not sure if @imnation could make them more articulated in the toe area that might make it easier to walk in. But overall everyone I have shown pictures too of me in the suit have All laughed at me lol then think its really like the movie version. My lil nephew now calls me buzz haha his jaw hit the ground when he saw me in it.
So all I can say is this suit is sure to get alot of compliments and rightfully so.
Sorry for the long post guys

Came out really great! :D
I'm really impressed how exact it is on the curvature and shapes of each major piece. I think that was the biggest downfall with my suit (doing all my curves and shaping without any patterns or cad or anything). I'd definitely try harder to get those right next time.
Funny you mention the shoes haha... the toes popped off of mine in about ten minutes, so I also found issues with the fact that just like real shoes these want to bend around the pivot point between your toes and the rest of your foot. I am going to set up a hinged system for the toe piece for emerald city comic con so it has some flex.
Have fun wearing it!!

NOw this makes my day :cool:thumbsup
really happy to know that you like it bro.
thanks again

I want to build a buzz lightyear as well can I ask how big you scaled the paper craft file for the person 5'10"?

As someone who has bought this costume, that half foam ball you linked to, would work For the shoulder joints but the way IM Nation has done the elbow joints I think are the best way to do them.

Im. I would like to commission template so I can build this buzz. Please help. 5'11"with 38" waist. Will pay for files
