I mean, there are ALOT of .PDOs out there, and alot of the look the same.

Did YOU use .DPOs to make the original, or did you model it from Scratch using, say, wood, bondo, carboard, etc...?

Seriously! All the little imperfections are there. Nobody can make a suit perfect and davy even made intentional changes from the pep files so that his suit was not screen accurate in some key areas. All his custom built parts and custom changes are in Angel's casts. So how did that happen. Even if Angel was trying to build a suit just like davy's he would not be able to get every part exactly the same. Every artist leaves there own signatures and every part that is made is unique but Angel's parts are not unique.

I do notice some Similarites, but I also notice differences...

I didn't want to post in here as it seems pretty obvious but damn...

What 2 builders make identical "SCRATCH BUILT" parts. EVERY builder has their own style/touch to something. Regardless of the same pep file used for the rest.
I know Davy's style and that's his.

Do a little more reading/looking at proof next time.

This Whole thread is pretty lame when you consider that both Parties involved in this dispute are in contact with staff members trying to resolve the matter.

Angel has been outed publicly which is Davys right to do so however, he was advised to go directly to the Staff with his claim before going public, thus causing a public slaughtering of a member who incidently has not skulked off like most recasters do, but infact he is rigourously protesting his innocence.

What saddens me even more is that while this dispute goes on you all continuley put the boot in and now turn to the guys Face Book timeline and continualy hound him, that is not the RPF way ...............!!!!!

Back off for a second guys, let the staff and mods do their job :unsure

all of my comments have been made through my anger, i have texted angel back and forth today he assures me he is innocent which may be the case, but as i told him i would rip into anyone wether they are a mate or not whom i consider untrue he knows this i am no prop builder just a fan and an amatur. as i have told him he poss just needs to be less frantic with things. who knows what will be will be.
remember you did grab a hold of the bandwagon yourself its easy done lad but i do agree let the powers that be do their job

If you feel strongly enough to start a new thread then thats what you should do.
By chatting with Angel today and seeing Some of the correspondence between the 2 people in question there does seem some kind of mix up in communication, so i hope my faith in Angel is justified.

What i will say before you start your new thread, this is now being looked into so you may want to hold off however the choice is yours.

No offense but you did say that if we felt strongly about this then we should start a new thread. As you can see we have plenty reason to feel strongly about it.

That being said I do think it is a good idea to see what the mods have to say. I guess Angel is giving them his defense and 'proof' that he made the suit from scratch. I am not sure why he wouldn't post it here too... sratch that, I know why. Anyways, I didn't know it would take so long for the mods to handle but maybe they are still waiting for Angel to provide his 'proof'. I guess they do have to give him some time to do that.

I am just afraid that if the mods are the only ones that get to see this 'proof' then it becomes more likely that he could get away with using someone else's build pics.

Those parts were not made from a pepakura file... davy found that these parts were easier to make from scratch. Check davy's build thread. Maybe davy can link us to the post where he built these.

i hase used for this screws steel heads from a screw i cut the heads and glue them on the scratch plate some parts worked better and faster if you not used pepakura for them i used a M5 screw for it.

Like what Mockle pointed out those screws are turned the exact way Davy's are. I mean even if he did build it from scratch it would be a detail that would be easily missed to get em the same exact same way. He does have a chance to defend his name. I know if I were being accused of recasting I would be posting tons of pics to clear my name right away. Thats just my opinion.

Yeah, I think you might be right. My serious mind at work there. I read it and thought... of course the screws weren't in the pep file but those parts weren't even from a pep file.

Anyways, that went right over my head. It is cause I am short.

The photo proof seems very clear.
I think its almost impossible for 2 builders to
create 2 independent scratch build part and have the screw heads line up in exactly the same way.

The proof of these actual parts that are unique need to be shown in this thread , the parts that were added by Davy and unique to 'only' HIS build and end up in the exact same position in the exact same places on this armour!??

If I were to use a levels setting in photoshop to alter the contrast of these shots I'd like to bet the same moilding imperfections would show up on both sets.. I'm sorry but it's pretty obvious to me. Most of us have got the experience to say that much.

I may be wrong but as a photographer I work with images for more hours than I would like to and see the tiny things in photos. If you look at the above comparison pics of the collar plate the lower left screw isn't perfectly straight and it isn't in angels "build" either. I don't want to be some one joining the possible wrong accusation but I thought I would just say what I see. How can two people make the same slight error?

Also why would it take so long to post up some wip pics. When I take a photo of anything I am ready to post on the forum it's up in 10 mins. Just another thought.

Marvel owns the rights to everything you guys are arguing about. Keep it up boys, ruin it for everybody. Davy doesn't own ironman, nor does anyone on here. If someone has such a problem with people recasting their work, then sculpt something original that we all want, and you will own the rights and be able to sue when someone recasts it.

99% of everything on this site is a copy of someone's original art work from a film. Get off your high horse people.

Just to clarify, I'm not endorsing recasting. It's whole thing just seems like the guy who steals a purse from an old lady in the street, only to have it stolen from him while he counts the money in an alley around the corner. He can yell "thief!" All he wants, but what is he?
