I like Star Wars

I heard this new film called Star Wars was coming out in the summer... I saw the trailer on youtube... Are you guys excited?

Star Wars blew my mind when I first watched it in the late 80's so I can't imagine the impact it would have had seeing it as it was released in theaters. I already knew Vader was his father, for example, just from people repeatedly quoting that line and I had also seen most of the SPFX shots here and there on TV. But to go into it not knowing what to expect must have been an altogether different experience.

I have a friend who has never watched any of the SW movies (and he's 28 years old!), but has a pretty good grasp on the plot and characters just from things floating around in pop culture.

Star Wars blew my seven-year-old mind so thoroughly that I still haven't recovered.

I was 10 when I saw it and it did the same thing to me... I've never been the same since. It totally changed my perpective on life. I think the closest movie to come out since to even remotely do that type of thing would be The Matrix for the next generation of movie goers. I'm a TV watching fool and even I never saw an ad for it before I saw it and was completely blown away with the whole concept of maybe we are all hooked up to an elaborate machine and everything around us is a highly sophisicated computer generated image.

I wish I was old enough to have seen Star Wars in the theater (I was just under 10 months old). I did see ESB and RotJ on the big screen and loved every minutes of it. Oddly enough, I didn't see ANH until after I saw RotJ.

Star Wars changed me completely. It sparked a passion. It made life exciting. It gave me a purpose.

I still remember seeing the original ad in the Indy Star for Star Wars, and convincing my Dad to let us see it. Surprisingly it was easy to convince him. I thought we had no chance with the word "Wars" in the title.
