HP3 Marauders Map

Well i finally had it Printed. It’s a Huge image 8 ft by 15 ( 18 seemed too big….)inches. I printed it with a Plotter, so I got 2 maps printed on the same sheet. This is the combined collective work of 5, RPFers ( 3 whose work is share and download Links are still available on the MM thread), ( 1 that after 1-2 weeks of using the search engine and reading many HP threads also has a free working Down load but its in the necro part of the HP threads)and 1 RPFer that had a link up LONG, long , did I say long yet?? Time ago. But link is dead, I PM him and he was kind enough to send me his work :) ( Gracias!!!) but asked not to share it or state his name. He said if ppl want it they should do what I did and search him out.
Any way I grabbed all 5 works and did my best to get and use the best of each ( imo) to make one nice Map. ( I just started using PS around 2-3 months ago so “Nice” is not a accurate word :) )
This will be a two piece map, ( a main 8ft x15 inches map & and a Centerfold around 12 x 29 inches. So far both maps line up nicely and I started by doing initial weathering to the centre fold, to see how it comes out.
Here are some pics ( sorry about blurring thing out, just following instructions in order to use the work of one RPFer)

Initial weathering, after it is build, done. i will continue to weather it some more but i like how it came out. Th good thing is i was able to print 2 so i have 1 more to do and work out the kinks, both on paper and Digital also. I really wish we had a nice paper down here, this would look so nice in proper paper.

18 inches seemed to long so i printed it at 15, am happy

OK here it is.
I finally capped the map off the Official site.

Took a while to get them without all the banners and such.
These where place in Photo Shop at 100dpi even though they are 72dpi off the net.
For posting I knocked them back down to 72 so the images are smaller than they appear on the actual web site.

If anyone wants a larger version or a particular image let me know.

Hi I'm new right here, and I saw your post from the marauders map. I have searched these other map for a long time ago by internet, and you are my hope. I don't know If you can put another photos about it or send me someone. I am mading my map by hand (not printing) and I wish to put on it this map. :$ thanks

But I never made the "foldables" inside the map... so that makes it incomplete compared to the Noble Collection's map.

I printed out my map, thank you that you made it, it's awesome. You know where I can find the "foldables" or high res images of them?

TK-2126_MD where you find the center of the Marauders Map? and the flip panels?

I made them, went on line and got all the pic i could find of the flip panels i could and just started to piece them together till i had all of it and then did it in Photoshop to fit the marcos map size. :lol

oh,..but thanks for that info,..

This isn't a very useful post, but eight hours ago I got to see the original. Gorgeous, wih many differences in art and construction from the published map, as others have noted.

Sadly no, but I expect there'll be pics coming from Leavesden sooner or later. Wanted to very badly, but the Singapore staff patrol diligently!!

I did note the construction; looks like leaves are formed from legal or letter size paper, bonded every second fold. Ageing is heavier than the official licensed version. The two innermost folds which reveal the central part of the map are not part of the main sheet, as they are on the official version. They're a separate sheet bonded to it. The artwork has a room with a label something like 'venomous rat traps here', and other differences I can't recall.

Oh - much more red ink than the commercial one, was one of the other noticeable differences. Guess all this stuff is well known though; you can see that one from the film pretty easily.

My pleasure, TK. Correction on the paper: it could be anything, I just mean "long and narrow sheets".

The map is only barely unfolded but enough can be seen that I'm getting ideas. I'm still in Singapore a few days, so if I get a chance I'll revisit the show, buy a licensed map and go back to the display to try to sketch in some of the differences.
