How to make a Sonic Screw Driver? Or any replicas?

I have been watching the show and must have one. BUT, I don't know a thing about them. I am looking for the David Tennant version. Has anyone made one? I have a small blue light that would be perfect for the light aspect. Is there parts available for it is it something that needs to be made from scratch?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is a toy available that was actually used in the show as a replacement for the original. Do a search of the forum and you'll find everything you ever wanted to know and then some.

It wasn't the available version of the toy that's used. The prototype of the toy was the exact size of Eccelston's SS and the production borrowed it to reverse-engineer to make more resilient props for Tennent. The final produced toy is an inch too long.
