Thanks guys. I wanted a more real look to the hook and let's be honest, silver paint just doesn't cut it for a metal look. So I went with the rust to bring out realism and if Captain Hook was a real sailor, his hook would be rusty from the sea air and water. Also... He'd be dead of old age by now, or at lease eaten by a croc.
