Always wanted a Hoverboard and decided it was time to give it a crack and make my own

Have currently only shaped the foam and made the tail

Sizing is correct and true to the board from the films

I dont have a dremel tool...... So I filed and sanded the foam by hand in order to create the curved/slanted edges

Next step is vinyl decals and paint

Does anyone know where I can get vinyl decals printed in Sydney Australia? I ordered a decal for $10 from a guy named skreeps on eBay and it's been a month.... Still no stickers :(

More pics and progress to come

Looks good so far. Don't forget to round the back corners slightly.

You might want to use these screen accurate Hoverboard graphics that were made by Roland. :cool
They are much better quality/accuracy than the stuff that eBay guy sells.

Most print shops or sign shops should be able to print vinyl decals.
I'm sure there's someone in your area that can do it.

Made more progress today with the decal and Velcro...... Starting to look more like the proper thing

Looks pretty sweet.. Coming along nicely..

I've been looking around to try and find someone who can do all 5 boards out of polyurethane foam or something.. Maybe one day..

Look forward to seeing it come together.. But here's the challenge, make it a handle bar version.. LOL

Well done. And nice to see my hero board decals "in action". :) Did you print it on Vinyl?

Thank you Roland...... The decals are awesome! Very appreciative :)

I unfortunately only printed it out on premium photo paper and glued it to the board...... I plan on making a 2nd board, better quality than this one, (I'm never content with things I make) ...... I was quoted $130 for the vinyl to be printed and couldn't afford it

Btw...... I stupidly paid $12 for the same designs on eBay from a guy named skreeps (I believe they are your designs) he screwed me cos they "shipped" a month ago - lesson learnt

Is it that expensive to print large vinyl sheets in Australia? In Germany I found several online printers where they print on self-adhesive Vinyl in A1 for about 20 Euros.

Yeah it shocked me too....... Had no idea they would charge me so much

The stuff skreeps sells is based on an old inaccurate graphic from several years ago. Based on my past experience shipping items from the US to Australia, it might take 5-6 weeks for it to arrive there.

Yeah I paid him for the brick pattern (the old one)....... But a day before he shipped my vinyl, he "designed" a new one which was an exact replica of Roland's one that I have on my board now..... He told me he would ship me the new design

If it takes that long, then I'm hoping it arrives soon, I will start making a new board

Everything is bloody expensive here.. :lol Expensive to print, but then you don't get what you want etc and pay an arm and a leg..

And shipping from overseas to Australia can be pricey, but to send from Australia to overseas, costs a lot more..

I went down to Office Works in Parramatta for a few things, and they wouldn't print any of it because of " Copyright," and then the stuff they did do wasn't done in correct size or material etc..

Serious? I got mine printed on photo paper in office works for $8 lol...... Go to blacktown..... They didn't care what I was printing there

The eBay seller skreeps was banned from this site for stealing members photos and using them in his eBay auction.. Use him with caution

Haha then you and me aren't very far away at all! Parra is just down the road. Everytime I've ben to that officeworks they seemed pretty good, I guess it depends on the people working there at the time
