Is it that expensive to print large vinyl sheets in Australia? In Germany I found several online printers where they print on self-adhesive Vinyl in A1 for about 20 Euros.
Yes it is. The guys that do it know it is kind of specialized and charge like a wounded bull for it. The decals for the BTTF Tube bag I made cost me $88 and I drew up the art work. If they had done it, there was going to be another $70 odd for their time.

So photo paper at Office Works? Hmm, might have to look at that.

Yeah to have the decals printed on A3 photo paper, it cost me like $2.15 each page lol

Spent just over $8 on the decals about 10 minutes after I was quoted a $130 job lol

Like I said though, I'm still waiting on decals from eBay...... If they ever arrive I will make a 2nd board

So I have the graphics, but they appear small when I open the files. Will they scale OK or will I end up with the jaggies?

I downloaded them from the link suggested to me (rolands decals) and didn't do anything to them or change them in any way..... The file was pretty big to download considering its a .pdf

I printed it on normal a3 paper just to check first and it was the right size

Then went ahead and printed on photo paper.... It's not pixelated or anything

I got a zipped folder emailed to me with what seemed to have 2 different sized files of each board (I have all 5) and only the smaller versions seemed to open.

Sorry for a really dumb ass question: how long should the board be?

I was checking out real skate boards the other day as my boys want them, and the real boards are quite a bit smaller than I thought they would be. Obvisously there kids sizes, and given marty takes the Hover board off the little girl, is it a kids size?

Did u want me to email it to ya? Pm me your email :thumbsup

Nice Work!!!!! Thanks for sharing.

I am seeing issues with size, if they are the ones I did then they are set as a BIG size!!! But i tried to find the most accurate measurments i could.

My board has decals from Roland

Could you possibly email mee your zip file? I pm'd you :thumbsup

I know there are original hoverboards in slightly different sizes. For my decals I used the size of the board, which was sold last year on "Profiles in History". The size is 28.5 x 8 inch. The decals are smaller of course. If you print my files, take care that your printer software doesn't make any size corrections!!!

Profiles in History

Yeah, my board was a touch smaller than 28.5 x 8 inch - the decal fit perfectly tho :thumbsup

Fate I suppose

So your hero decals up for download are 28.5 inches long, or is that just for your own personal board?

Both of my downloadable decals, the hero and the stunt decals, are made for 28.5 x 8 inches boards (after bending the kicktail). The decals themselves are smaller, of course: 27 5/8 x 7 inches (stunt board decals) and 28 3/8 x 7 2/3 inches (hero board decals). On the hero boards the decals are closer to the board's edges than on the stunt boards, that's why they are larger. These are the dimensions for the upper side of the boards. For the lower side decal cut away 1/8 inch all around the decal.

I love this board - it must be like a childhood dream come true!

You did a really great job - look forward to seeing more of your stuff :)

I thought you told me that the hero decals were 7 inches wide.

Sorry, I didn't notice the word "hero" in your PM question. I was talking about my stunt board files. My hero board files are larger. Since it's a PDF, feel free to modify it or print it in another size. ;)
