Here is the Highlander himself with the katana we made for him.

Not to sound rude, but who is "we", and when is the run?????

It‘s a one-off that my friend and master propmaker Tobi made for Christopher Lambert. The katana is based on my screen used prop. The fittings on the wooden saya are digitally modeled, 3D printed and gold-plated. The wood of the saya covered in red calfskin leather, the kozuka is real and features a high quality damask blade like the blade of the katana. The tsuba was cut from steel, reworked by hand and is gold plated. The chinese lionhead on a casting from the tsuka of my screen used katana was reworked by a very talented sculptress to match it with the carved reliefs on the rest of the tsuka.
We wanted to create the version of the hero prop that Christopher should have used in the first movie.

He was about to sign the saya when I told him that the sword is a gift from us. Then he inspected the sword in detail and seemed very pleased. He asked us to send it to his address in Paris, because he wasn’t able to take it with him in the plane.
