Hi! I have boobs and I make...

Do any of you talneted artists have experience with silicone prop making, or foam prop molding? I am in the works of putting together a GOON costume and the hands are the piece I am missing. Also I am inthe works of the DARKNESS cosplay and I have no idea for how to concept the mask or the gauntlets. Please advise. Thank you.:)

I look up to everyone of these girls in the thread! SO awesome! Been in and out of this thread while getting ready for Dragon*con! GAHH! DROWNIN' IN FABRIC!

I guess to add to mine, I do couples costumes with my bf Chris. Like Amy, I was in the RPF calendar too!

I love all these couple sets, they're so cute! I especially love the amazing photography and scenery. Totally makes the great costumes look even more amazing!

Makes me wanna dress my husband up more. :)

I think your Phoenix costume is my favorite, nice work! The Jean Gray is pretty awesome too. :)

I didn't even think to just post a few of what I do haha, so here you go!

Ladies,

I have to thank you. This thread has been such an encouragement. Seeing every SINGLE one of your works, your creations and your passions has been an inspiration and one I continue to enjoy.

There has been so much AWESOME on this thread that I can't even comment on every single one.

THANK YOU for making this thread what it is. A creative birthing!

As to the RPF Meetup, I WILL get you more details as soon as I have them. I won't let you down!

Onto other business- I SOOOOO want to have all your ladies over for an epic costuming sleepover.

Also- please, let's share and like each other's FB pages so we can continue the web of support?

MDB! I was wondering when you'd pop in here. I'm still convinced I probably walked right by you when I was in New Zealand.

Ladies (and those without boobs who are no doubt reading this thread), this woman right here is a top-class costumer. I mean, wow....my jaw still drops at her pictures.

MDB is what I wanna be one day. Her skills are just- yeah.

Just so everyone is clear- this isn't a girls vs boy RPF member thing.

I wanted to know who other female members were! I think all the skills of the entire RPF is what make it the go to board for creation of whatever!

I can't draw either- I'm so hitting you up Lady!

Sorry for appearing to snub these wonderful replies. Been a bit head down tails up with stress and trying to finish too many projects for D*C and C6 (Shae, and a swtor alien and Liara from Mass Effect are my big three and then I have to repair Reinette, Satine and still track down some googles in this country for catwoman!!!)

Thank you for your lovely words :)

Also, agreed, I don't see this thread as a male vs female, or "we iz special petalz"* thread :) This is a great stonking huge forum! It's easy to get lost or lose track of people here. Usually when we create costumes for ourselves we have an interest in those who are doing the same work/costumes. So naturally women are going to want to see the work of other women :)

So nice to see so many names from here and other forums and some activity from some I know have been absent as well :)

*Need that on a tee.....

Thanks for sharing all of your amazing work ladies. It is truly awesome to see all this talent from the female members of the RPF in one thread. I don't think this thread would have exploded the way it did if it only was a meet and greet thread... just saying. :)

Abby you have done well, its good to see everyone coming together.. showing there work and talent.. so there should be tons of threads on there, work :thumbsup cant sew to save my life. so I couldnt do anything when it come to sewing :).. so great job to you all... :cool

Just because some can't sew doesn't mean that talents aren't elsewhere.

I am not the best seamstress. Not at all. My talents are in assembling, and tailoring, wig making. I'm just learning sculpting and casting/mold making.

Everyone has a niche and I know each of us has ours. :love:love THATS WHAT MAKES THIS BOARD AWESOME!!!

Full of collaboration. *puts down RPF pom poms*

does anyone else love the fact that this thread was started on the 3rd of august, has about 370 replies and over 11500 views? :D :D boobs bring everyone to the yard hahaha

Well, to be honest I don't have a lot of my costuming stuff on fb, but I do sometimes make small updates and I keep a little album with a few costume pics in it. :rolleyes Abby, your fb link doesn't seem to work? At least it didn't work for me...

I really hope the rest of you who are going to CVI and D*C will have a good time. I'll just sit on my side of the pond and try not to be jealous.

I support this sleepover idea. Oh the mayhem that would ensue! Alas, if only teleportation devices had actually been invented.

I'm debating putting up a Facebook page. I don't know if I actually have enough for one or not. But then again, Dragoncon is coming up soon.

QUESTION FOR THOSE WITH FB PAGES: Which would you recommend and why - an actual Profile page or a fan page (aka, one you have to send a friend request to or a page you "like") I can't decide which one to do.

Ladies,

This, please! I'd like to add as many of yalls pages to my likes as possible :)
(mine's in my sig I think)

I had to switch to a page because I was about to hit the limit of facebook friends on my costuming profile. That and my newsfeed was completely gummed up with people who were just friends with me to see my costumes and we had nothing else in common. Having a page to keep those people separate helps so much.

Hey, ladies! I'm Lauren. I've been into costuming for a few years (though I'm very slow at it), and it's awesome to see other women who are into it - especially when they're as talented as all of you!

Ah, yes, if only teleportation was possible for us. Then there would be costume chaos! Muhahahaha! :lol Ahem.

Hmm, I don't have a page, don't even know if I have enough for one. Sure I could do one, but I have no idea how often I would actually update it. Of course, it might be incentive to do more stuff... Hmm...
