Help with vehicle design.

Hi everyone. I've been lurking for a bit; just soaking up the creativity. It has lead me to a non-prop build that I think the RPF can help with.

I'm just about ready to paint my truck (2006 Honda Ridgeline). It's black and just needs to be freshened up. My thought is to make a "Star Wars Edition" tribute. Over the past few years these special editions with crossover themes have cropped up. I'm not talking about putting a Tie Fighter body kit on it - just a nod to Star Wars. Maybe an imperial logo in place of the Honda "H" up front and some text along the box "Ridgeline Imperial Edition".

See the Ford Harley Davidson Edition for an idea of what I'm going for.

I greatly respect the talent and creativity of the RPF - I thought you guys might be able to brainstorm with me and help me come up with a design.

I'm ordering a vinyl cutter/plotter this week and I'll be dusting off my airbrush (rookie skills) to give you an idea of the medium I'll be working with.

I think a ghosted imperial cog on the tailgate would look sick. Maybe a quarter panel badge with a pseudo tie squadron on there with kill counts.

I was thinking of ghosting. As Adam Savage once said "I married outside the clan". My wife will not want a bold Star Wars graphic. She'll indulge minor geek tendencies though.

I had a chance to work on it today - the weather didn't co-operate, so I didn't get as far as I would have liked.

I went with plasti-dip due to ease of use. I like the flat finish. Then I used the vinyl cutter.

My main concern was the poor condition of the wheels and the rock chips on the hood. I "dipped" the front end only. I'll get to the rest next weekend.
