Out of pure luck, I stumbled across a Coyle Trek III Tricorder that I purchased for an unbelievably cheap price.
Obviously it’s going to need some paint restoration, but the electronics seem to be in working order (once I replaced a dead 9 volt battery and applied some oil to the plunger/ syringe to allow the pop-up mechanism to move freely once again).
The one area that I’m going to need some help with is replacing the current “push button” that triggers the pop up mechanism. What is installed now is not a spring-loaded push button but is, instead, something more akin to a brass tack that hangs loosely out of the side of the body.
Does anyone have any pictures they can post of the proper push button mechanism?
Thanks!
