Bought this from a local storehouse- Definitely a prop and unusual but wondered if anyone could ID the film/show. It was apparently in storage since the mid-late 90's. The game is a contact wire-loop game (based on the production piece Wacky Wire).

BUMP- Come on guys. Surely someone recognizes this. This was apparently used in a film in the early-mid nineties. Anyone??

Are you absolutely sure its a prop?

I seem to recall the coiled wire rotates. I am almost convinced I played this at Tilt.

Thing is, there are no copyright or trademark symbols, or manufacturer names anywhere on it, so it suggests to me it's a prop.

Good eye Treadwell. It does look familar but I don't remember it ever being a major part of a movie. Maybe it was in the background in a movie like Nightmares, at an arcade with the Bishop of Battle. So many teen flicks where they were in an arcade.

On the other hand, I can't see anyone commissioning its construction just to be in the background, when any old arcade game would do. If they were concerned about showing existing brands, a repainted cabinet would be all that would be required, not something as complex as this. Looks to me that a script called for a game to flash "winner" in a scene, and so someone came up with this.

Cool guys- It is definitely a prop. (I have the original Wacky Wire parts remaining after it had been cannibalized to make Deactivate). It does look darn familiar but I can't place it. Good thought on Nightmares but the only custom cab in that was the Bishop himself. I will have to check out Evolver- were there arcade pieces in that? Definitely have to check Eerie, Indiana, haven't seen that in a while.

The company suggested it was a 90s piece used in a film. They were commissioned to build it- sent it out to production company (AIC) then after, it was returned to them. That's all I know.
