Unlimited Run Hellboy Samaritan (3D Printed Kit)

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

No chance of being disappointed the kit looks great & I can't fault the way you've run your sales thread .

Cool it got here so fast, I know some people don't like to ship internationally so I always appreciate it when someone does :)

I've already started glueing a few parts together on this :lol

Just hope I can do the kit justice

Thanks for doing the run

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Thanks so much! The 2nd run is well underway, 4th kit will be done late today, 5th kit this week. I'm working on printing a full sized Rocketeer helmet too, but the new printer should be here soon.

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

This looks awesome--can't wait to get mine!!

Someone needs to post a build thread too!!

Question--does this kit need any seaming with putty or bondo?

Yes, definitely. Apoxie sculpt works great, or whatever you like.

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Thank you very much for the build instructions. Granted kits are pretty easy to figure out, usually (some can really suck), but it's always nice to have something to reference to rather then guessing. I think you be quite successful on here the way you have been running things. Can't wait until I get my package in a couple days (hopefully, lol).

Thanks, all the US people should get theirs this week :)

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Having lots of fun sanding this kit :)

everything is going together really nicely the detail & quality is fantastic,

keep test fitting it all together:lol

trying to decided if I should give it all a coat of primer before I glue the main parts together,

only thing I'm not sure about is the cylinder, should it spin or be glued in place??

but once again thanks for doing this run

Do you mean the chamber, where the bullets go into? If so, it should spin, should just sit on the long cylinder the was glued into the back part of the barrel.

Glad you like it and its going well. I glued everything together then painted it, but that's not necessarily the best way...

You're in Arkansas right? I'd guess 4-5 days, I bet it shows up tomorrow

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Got mine today....it is SWEET!!

This may be a really dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Is the "crosshatch" type pattern on some parts of the gun (not the handle--I know that's wood grain) supposed to be this way, or is this just the way 3D printing works?

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Big box showed up today!!!! this kit looks tight buddy...cant wait to start on it :thumbsup

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Got mine today too. Haven't opened it yet, but VERY EXCITED :D

I think you're talking about the infill, it uses a pattern when 100% fill isn't chosen, I typically use 10%. But send a pic, I'll see if we're talking about the same thing

Re: Fully 3D Printed Hellboy Samaritan Kit

Glad everyone is getting their kits, be sure to upload progress pics. Also, if you've got any questions or problems, let me know.

As far as the 2nd run goes, I'll have the 5th kit done this weekend. I'll start PMing people on the list in order, asking for a commitment and payment. There are 10 people on the 2nd list, I will provide kits to everyone who's still interested, but I just don't want to make 10 kits, and have extras if ppl drop out. So, the first 5 people should expect a PM soon!

Once again, thanks for everyones support, just ordered our new 3d printer today with funds from the 1st run!

Yay! Glad to help and you can count on me for progress pics. I kind of want to upgrade the bullets to hold liquid or something. ;) also would love to use this prop in my Johann Krauss costume build in some way. :)
