why would anyone expect a movie called "Hellboy" to be uber-realistic?

besides, the comic is more focused on the mystical aspect of the world, and pretty much all of the stories are based on real myth and legend.

Now no one said "realistic". I loved the character when Mignola had first started the book. At first, I only bought the book for Monkey Man and O'Brien, but really got into for a time. I DO expect it to make sense though.

Guillermo has said that this film will be more "supernatural" than the first one, as opposed to science fictional, so no super-science or Nazis or force fields this time. :lol

This means I guess that HB2 has more akin with "Pan's Labyrinth" than with HB1.

Guillermo also says that he hates when audiences demand that movies be "logical" and "make sense", which unfortunately means that Guillermo del Toro hates me personally. :$

yeah, kinda cool as a visual, but I doubt he's able to fire it... fingers are probably too big.
