Hi. I'm thinking of using a block of HDPE (about 110x260x12mm) to back some aluminium components. Basically a metal frame screwed to a plastic block.
However, I've read that HDPE can expand quite a bit with heat. I'm concerned about the metal box getting distorted if the support block gets hot or cold in shipping. Does anyone know if this is a significant problem or not for this application? Thanks!
