Well, here she is, hot off the presses, the Hasbro Sith Infiltrator. Pretty damn cool toy IMO. :cool
Opens up easy but has quite a few springs and 2 levers inside that fall out easily and leave you wondering –Aw crap, where does that bit go again?- :confused
Rear engine channels were cut out and also added just a small amount of greeblies to the exposed engine areas infront of the dome and wing areas.
The big hassle was the paint job. I have no idea what the ship should look like, truly minimal references. On screen it looked metallic to me, but the box art has it a sort of weathered dull white sort of thing, so I stuck with the Hasbro patterns. This does deviate from the CG box art but I don’t mind.
The overall effect I was looking for in my mind was for the paintwork to allow sunlight to gleam off the hull and I was delighted to get that effect with the first pic. So I reached my objective at least. Needs just a bit of paint to finish off the little black tabs on the surface (the right side is done there for comparison). Also contemplating whether to weather it or leave it clean. On the whole I’m pleased with it, just a little disappointed by my efforts ligthing the rear engine :confused but that's about it...
Thanks for looking and enjoy
