Hasbro Dooku FX

Thanks. While there hasn't exactly been an abundance of FX sabers available from Hasbro, it's good to see they're following through with the plan for new sabers. It shows the availability on this for September, but if you click the link for "People who bought this also bought", the Obi TPM isn't avalable until October. Odd.
 
And a double bladed Ventress will be available in December.

I'm skipping the Vebtress, but I will DEFINITELY be buying the Dooku and OWK, despite them being slightly oversized.
 
I am not sure if I will buy any more FX sabers. Not that there is a problem with them, quality or being oversized, I seem to just not be interested in them as much!:unsure
 
I like them for what they are. A Balance between a pretty nice replica and a very cool big kids toy.

I will definitely be getting the Obi in October, very excited about it actually as that version saber is my fave.

To date, I have two FX sabers, an Anakin RotS, and I picked up one of MRs "build your own" from Radio Shack, when they had them, for my son. The blades shorter on that one and it doesn't have the strip of leds but the quality is still pretty damn good. We have dueled a whole lot and, believe me, my son doesn't hold back, :lol. To date they still are working fine aside from some scuffing on the blades.

The ones I have are:
Double Maul
Anakin ROTS
Obi-Wan ROTS
Mace WIndu
Luke ROTJ
Yoda

Something that strikes me odd is that I love the Vader stuff and I don't have any of those. I have the Vader ANH FX hilt but not the saber!:unsure
 
I'm still waiting for a moderately inaccurate Qui-Gon :)

But remember when MR said they could never release a Dooku because of the curved handle? (n)thumbsdown Good to see Hasbro managed to do it moderately well (y)thumbsup
 
That dooku looks terrible, but the obi wan is very acceptable. Im planning on doing some heavy mods to it though.

Im going to cut off the neck section and build in a thinner one that incorporates a cree led and optic, with a removable blade holder.

I might mill out the silver grips, and stick an aluminum tube in the hilt to make them look deeper and more accurate.
 
I'll probably pick up Obi's if the local TRU ends up stocking it. I had read Qui-Gon's or Ahsoka's might be next in the pipeline.. but I'm really interested in Ventress' if they do bring them out.
 
at least the Dooku is crooked... though i have doubts about its integrity. i was afraid it would be straight like the crappy light up one or the stunt sabers from the movies

The Asajj Ventress saber is fugly, to put it mildly ... :thumbsdown
Perhaps it looks like exactly like the TV-series saber, but unlike the Asoka saber, the Ventress's sabers have a precedent. Also, the TV-sabers are grossly simplified and little bit un-simplification could not have hurt.
 
So is this available yet?

All I see is shipping in September everywhere. Does anyone have a set release date on these?
