2 or 3 new PT Lightsaber Parts IDENTIFIED!

These are all made by Thorn Electronics, you get some variation and that's okay, they're hard to scrounge up anyway

The rubber is very stiff so I am NOT going to disassemble that part yet. Any tips on Rubber restoration? Brake fluid? Silicone conditioner like Aircraft 303?

To restore rubber parts go to YouTube and type: "Restoring old rubber parts" and there's a vid/ brand called "Tenda" (Wintergreen oil) that you'll use with one part Tenda diluted in 2 parts alcohol. See vid for more details;)

thank you! I've seen wintergreen oil and alcohol, but I've also seen that oil based stuff can backfire on the rubber. There's also silicone based stuff... and I've heard brake fluid is supposed to lengthen the life of gaskets? I was curious if people had personal experiences of things that lengthened the life of gaskets

Yep, I can confirm the same finding Tom. Some variation. But from what I've seen, EVERY instance of these used on the Episode I props was the type with the smallest top-circle diameter. So in your image of three facing the camera, the one on the far right looks to be the correct type to me.
Yes, that's right! Thanks for measuring them too - this is very cool. I'm so tempted to lop off the button on this one casting and put this on. I had to re-build a third of the knob with filler anyway
