Harry Potter Props and costumes

Well, here we go. :eek I went down and put a down payment on my new custom Nimbus 2001 broom prop... It is going to be made entirely out of wood and it is going to rock. They are even painting it for me. The silver ring at the base will be there. The only part they can't do is the actual foot rests, but there is a custom metal shop here in town that I'm going to speak to about it. I've already informed the broom makers that once I post pictures of this broom, there will most likely be many, many people interested in getting one. They said that will be fine. Once mine is done, they will be able to work something out with me to do large orders for those who want an awesome Nimbus 2001 broom prop made out of wood. This thing is gunna rock... Those of you who are interested, please start contacting me so that I can get an idea of who wants them and how many. I don't have a price for you yet, though it will certainly be cheaper than what I'm paying for mine, since mine will be the first and they always cost more. Let me know gang. Also, unlike some child sized brooms out there, this broom is going to be made to be 5'10" long, so it will be an adult sized prop. I can't wait to bring mine to Dragon Con next year...

And please, no more requests to make the Nimbus 2000 brooms. It's costing me a bundle to get them to do the first Nimbus 2001, so for now let's stick with that. Maybe later I'll get them to make the 2000, but for now my wallet can only handle one custom broom.

John, I am interested and certainly encourage you to press on. I'd like to see a pic of a final version before going further, however.

Please keep us posted on your progress, and bravo for taking on such an ambitious project.

Well, the good thing is, as they finish making the various parts, they want me to come down and let them know what I think. :D I will bring along my digital camera and take pics of the progress so that you can all check it out. As soon as I have any updates I'll let you know. Thanks.

Well, here are some updated pics. The broom will be completely done to include painting in the next week or so.

I am a big Potter fan. Thanks to everyone for the pics. This stuff is very cool. Does anyone know how many different wands have been put on the market?

Thanks

Brian

Noble collection has pretty much all of the main characters wands out.
I've been working on a new voldemort wand since the first one was given away and the last one broke into about 10 pieces before I got a chance to cast it.(stupid wax) So this time I'm taking a different root on the v-wand.

A few people have made them.
I've been working on one for a while but never finished it.

I've had other things take priority over HP stuff.

Some props I made for a display.

From left to right:
Ron, Dumbledore, Harry, Voldemort, Sirius, and Mad Eye Moody's.
I don't know how to make the image any bigger, photobucket keeps resizing them..

The one HP prop I have been looking for is the skelligo bottle from COS. Does any one have or know where to find one? Or perhaps, nice pics??
Thanks.
