Harry Potter Props and costumes

Yeah, Noble customer service kind of sucks. They gave me some crap excuse for why the Two Face coins sucked so bad. I didn't even bother about the Slughorn wand and its photographic misrepresentation.

I've heard about this but don't really have any details - what are the problems with it?

EDIT: By the way, thanks for the pictures Norbert. I wasn't expecting the black box to be a slipcover. Purple is an...interesting...choice for the actual box, I wonder if all the ones are that colour...

Noble does have terrible customer service, my mom got her friend to order me wands for Christmas and she said the woman on the call was rude.
@Guff, they are different colors, I secretly opened like 2 of mine and Voldemort's box is black, and Ron's is green.

I doubt it can be any worse than their UK counterpart site. A few weeks ago I e-mailed them asking when the new wands would be available to order and if the rather spiffing "buy 10 wands get a free display case" would be available over here.

The reply I got was:

"Dear Mr Guff (well, sort of)

After checking the website I can confirm that the items you mentioned are not yet available to buy. I hope this answers your query."

Um....ok. Thanks for that.

maybe they don't know yet

Then I would've preferred they told me that rather than sending me a complete non-answer that doesn't even remotely relate to my question. I then e-mailed the .com website to ask for an international shipping quote - they never got back to me :(

did you try the international shipping address on the site?

I did indeed. No reply. Next stage I guess would be a very expensive phone call. Tonight I'll also be going on a hunt for the Dumbledore's Army set (shopping sites blocked at work, thankfully The RPF isn't :D) as I just received an e-mail from the place I had ordered from stating that they were out of stock and wouldn't be getting any more in. The only real reason I fancy this set is for Luna's original wand and the only other alternative would be to seek out one of the Japanese versions.

@Guff try the wizarding world they have the set along with or you can find it here <http://www.wizardingworldgifts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=293>

Thanks for the link, but I'd rather not order from the US if I can help it. Not only is the set about £30 more expensive from that site than the rrp over here, but it's always a risky business ordering internationally because you can get hit with import tax. The fear of a massive import tax bill is the only thing stopping me from ordering 10 wands and a display case from NC.com directly.

I appreciate the help though :)

While not being a die-hard fan of Harry Potter, there IS a prop that I've instantly loved when seeing it: the Marauder's Map.

So I've just bought the Noble version (with the display), and I can say that I'm very happy with!

The paper could be a little more realistic, though.
Visually, it's good, it really looks like real parchemin paper, but when you touch it, you see that it's just regular paper. But it's ok, cause I have it mainly for displaying, and at that cost it really worth it.

The only big scam with it: it doesn't work, you don't see people moving on it! But I guess it's not Noble's fault, I'm just a muggle...

yup I had that same feeling with it, I also though the case could have been a little better made aswell. All this I talked about in the video review I did

Hey guys, looking for some help. Could anyone with the bluray of Prisoner of Azkaban take a screencap for me, please?
Time: 2:11:31.
It's the Waner Bros. banner.

Thanks.:thumbsup

Yeah, we've had problems with the Noble customer service too. I had ordered a M.M. and that came quick enough. The Elder Wand was delayed over two months for shipping, but a couple weeks early I was notified that it was on its way. The H.P. paper prop box, however, is another matter altogether.

My wife got it for me for Xmas, and ordered it in November. We were notified that it would be here before Xmas, but then it was bumped to January, then February, and now we get a postcard saying March 30th. WTF? Really?

Time to give them the big, middle Albatross and get a refund. What a joke.

Cheers,

Guy
