Harry Potter Costumers - UK

It's obviously just you mate ;-) it's a shame the costume obbsessed OH doesn't like Harry Potter, you know what he's like he's really easy to convince. I might be at expo, I'm signed up I think but we haven't made a 100% decision on that one.

It was quite straight forward & enjoyable process really. First step was to fill in the speaker slots in the forehead, I used modelling putty for this. I then sanded it down smooth. I chose metallic silver spray paint for the mask that just seemed like the most appropriate colour. I gave it about four coats of the metallic silver. Once that had dried I then dry brushed the entire mask with black craft paint, this gave it that battle of Hogwarts worn look. The final step was a couple of coats of clear coat sealer to strengthen and seal in the detail. I also removed all of the voice changer parts, I found it made the mask far more lightweight and comfy.

I am currently working on my full death eater costume, I will post some pics once I have finished it as all your comments and feedback would defiantly be helpful.
