Harry Potter Costume Inconsistencies

Hey guys, I was just wondering, since the movies change costume design so often, which versions of the Harry Potter costumes seem to fit the book the best in your opinion? Could be for anything: professors, students, quidditch players, etc. I'm just looking for opinions (post as many pictures as you like!). Also, is anyone else bothered by the changes from the book to the movie? Like how Ravenclaw is represented by a Raven in the movie but an eagle in the books? And the sudden appearance of the mirror in the latest movie...?

Peace

the mirror shard that Harry has is in the book, Sirius gave it to him, correct me if i'm wrong because i have not read the book in some time. but in the movie it was not explained. Sirius had the other side of the mirror because he and James used them to talk to each other at school. Sirius gave harry James' side, bur when Sirius died Mandungus took it and sold it to Dumbledore's brother, who's eye harry saw in the dungeon and then sent Dobby to rescue them. To awnser your question about how well the movies represented the books, i think they did a pretty good job. minor changes like the eagle just made since because its called RAVENclaw lol.

wow I never noticed the raven for Ravenclaw, I always assumed it was an eagle like in the books. The thing that made me mad about Ravenclaw was that its colors were blue and silver in the movies as opposed to blue and bronze in the book. Silver is Slytherin along with green. I find that they use Muggle clothes too much in the movies. In Deathly Hallows thats all they wore except for the Ministry parts. The mirror in the movie didn't bother me too much because I know the books cover to cover. If I hadn't read them, I would be really confused at its sudden appearance.

the whole Raven thing drives me bonkers.

In the books they didn't appear to wear much of anything under their robes. There was no "Uniform" noted. And when Snape was hauled upside down by james it talked about his underwear showing.

I definitely agree with Gryffindor1991 about the muggle clothing. I sort of feel like the subsequent movies just weren't as good after the first two.

Although the uniforms were different back when Snape and James were in school. So maybe they justified it that way.
