Yea the cork helps the tops to attach pretty well and tight, and look nice too. I ended up sculpting so many because I wasn't happy with them. Finally ended up with one that I felt worked best (far right one lol) But they do look very much the same. I'm planning on giving a couple of these as gifts, but am thinking about maybe casting the tops. But the casting supplies cost quite a bit, and I have no experience doing that, but it would be an interesting experience.

How's your Potter collection coming along?
try a clay mold the sculpey brand one its a mould making casting stuff for use with clay and its fairly cheap,

Finally nearly done with the monster book! Just need to do some fine tuning and some more paint on the skin details.

Sweet collections guys! they look fabulous. Wish I was as productive as you! Or that I knew to spend my money right haha. Here's my small collection, though it's growing, and I'm hoping to pick some more things at the studio tour in March. If the shop will meet my expectations that is. Anyways, here it is.

(so okay this more of a harry potter themed desk than a collection :p)

Hey, Where did you get the OotP Picutre? :love GIVE IT TO ME!

A few more updated pics of the collection. Some more pieces added!

did you buy that snitch or make it? it's the most accurate ive seen and i need a perfect one for my qudditch ball chest. Stunning collection by the way!:)

I got the snitch in a trade; it has lineage to a production made snitch, so it's very close if not exact to one of the snitches from the films.

Here are more pictures of one of my golden snitches. This one has been aged considerably while another one is being kept as new.
