Harry Potter Book insides

Just that it even thought for a second it could beat a love potion. ;) Plus, I was remembering the scene in CoS about Valentine's Day and the murderous look on Snape's face over Lockhart's suggestion of brewing them.

Amortentia Potion P3 of 4.

This potion has a fairly long brewing procedure. It might have all fit onto 1 or 2 pages but then there would have been no room for images. I think the entertaining thing about the MPP pages IS the images so I stretched out the potion to be able to include some images.

The images for this potion are a little "fluffy" but then it is a love potion...

Thanks beechy and jhadha. You guys are great supporters.

I was taking a look through the completed potions the other day and noticed there are 2 love potions included, Adoramaus and Amortentia. I don't think 2 love potions are necessary so I have removed Adoramus and substituted the Befuddlement Draught.

I found a little info on it in HP Wiki and then just made up the rest myself.

By the way, some of the measurements are fairly obscure so in case anyone is wondering pwt. stands for pennyweight and gi. stands for gill. Both appropriate apothecary measurements for Phineas's day.

So here's P1 of 2 of the Befuddlement Draught.

:lol Not really.. Went shooting at a friends farm and thought the Roo I hit was dead.. Went to bag it and leaped up frighten and gave me a couple of smacks and kicked as it bounced off..

Tip for hunters: Make sure you have a friend with who has a Shot Gun as back up..

I needed a break from the potions so I thought I would take a try at making a prototype cover for the MPP book.

For backing I used a cheap clipboard I bought at the local dollar store (gotta love the dollar stores). Its made out of hardboard about 1/8" thick.

I cut it to size and glued the print of the cover onto it. Then I just went to work aging and wearing it. I used sandpaper to wear it and then used cooking oil to soil it up like it had been handled alot. Looks like it should be fine.

Here's pictures of the process.
