Harrison Ford on Shia LaBeouf

I'm really surprised there isn't more rallying and applause from the folks here. Shia pretty much said what 3/4 of the population here has been saying since the movie's release, word for word (including the monkey reference).
Personally I'm a bit on the fence about it. I think Shia was a bit out of line, yes. But it's not like he was totally slam-bomb-trashing the movie. It was more like a shoutout to the fans than anything if you ask me.

On another note, at this point I suspect Harrison Ford is starting to go senile...

With more pushing from the principal actors, a more serious approach to direction from Spielberg, combined with a few less "yes men" bowing to the rampant egotism of the writer, a better film could have been made.

I for one respect that he can tell the truth. im tired of being lied to by our government, bosses and everyone else out there. Its refreshing to have him say what he did... who cares if it was about Lucas, Speilberg or anyone else... those guys are not above honest criticism what so ever.... I for one am disappointed in Lucas because he did not let anyone else direct the Prequels... I think his vision is great... its his execution that is flawed. Didnt Ewan McGregor lambaste Lucas? i dont see anyone jumping down his throat for it. Shia s a really good actor... and EVERY actor has their suk moments.. even the best.

A wise celebrity will know when to mind his words. Almost everything a "star" says can have consequences - unfortunately for Shia, he's showing a pattern of ill-advised comments that in the long run will only serve to hurt his career.
Had fans responded better to Indy 4 (which I love BTW) I don't think he would have anything to say - basically, he's following the social lead of what everyone else says just to please people, but in reality he's just pissing off some of the most influental people in Hollywood.
