Han Solo & TAUN-TAUN ...FINISHED!!!!

Hi, I show you my w.i.p. taun taun (1:20 3" 3/4" scale). Initially I started making real size versión




but I love the stop motion Phill Tippet versión

as you can see, head is smaller and legs and feet are bigger than real size versión.........a big problem ( I need re-make the figure)

THE SOLUTION

1º keep torso and head as you see in close-up
2º mould legs and feet as you see when taun taun is running

This is the result:


Really mix two animals with different proportions

I would like to make the two versions: Han Solo and Luke (with broken taun-taun´s horn)
This is a master figure that I will reproduce by silicon mould. I will make a hig quality limited series resin cast.

Stay on target ... focus on the Taun Taun first ... then head back to Luke and Han ... got it ... head back

As I said you, here there are the removable horns!!! ….and a new feet nails!!!
I´ve make horns in Smooth-on resin, and nails in Aves Apoxie


NEXT STEP....the saddlebag!!!

The Taun Taun is such a memorable creature and you are really doing a fantastic job capturing all the details. I LOVE the face and head!

Oh, thanks!!!! You are very kind!!! I love taun-taum from I was a child, when I saw a report about ESB and its special effects
I'm working in the taun-taun to show more photos about modeling progress

Hi, we are again with our taun taun (1:20 3" 3/4" scale).
As we comented:
1º torso and head as you see in close-up
2º legs and feet as you see when taun taun is running
Therefore fur must follow this criteria. You can see feet has not log hair and is not white as the body fur.

Here it is !!!! One of the saddlebag stuff…in 3D, READY FOR 3D-PRINT
In a 1:20 scale it measure 8mm approx., too much small to get an accuracy modeling of this geometric form using classical techniques
