Han Solo Ep 7 costume

How big are the e-cigarette batteries? Our pockets hold a cylinder with a diameter of about 12mm (1/2"), which I think is pretty close to the original.

I'd love to get the exact dimensions of what those pockets can hold so I can work on supplying greeblies for all the future Han cosplayers out there. If the mob of Finn/Poe costumers that you've sent my way is any indication, I think there will be a very high demand. ;)

@JJ Griffin, like I said, a 12mm cylinder is a pretty good fit and the pocket is 78mm tall (internally). Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

UPDATE: 12mm x 78mm will not look right as a greeblie (too tall/skinny), so I checked again and the pocket will fit up to a 16mm diameter cylinder.

I can post a pic. I bought the most powerful ecig battery, 1100mah. The weaker the battery, the shorter it is. The 1100mah is too long. There are two shorter versions, but I am running out of time. BTW, this is why I suggested attaching with velcro. We can change the greeblies as better versions are discovered.

What would you estimate the approximate length of the greeblie should be?

Ive quickly knocked these up for next week. My final ones will be sanded a bit smoother :) These are 65mm long by 15mm wide. I can cut some off the bottom of they stick out too much.

joeranger. Re the battery size. I estimated 450mAh - 650mAh would be the max as, as you've discovered already, 1100mAh is too tall

As for the breath spray route, they arrived recently and the ones I ordered are too wide so batteries or custom builds are still looking the best bet at the moment

Indy, as I was looking over some Hi-Rez photos of the Solo costume, I noticed THESE design details on the bottom of the left side (Ford's left) of the jacket...

Any plans to add details like these down the road as more of the design of this jacket becomes more visible?

That additional stitching is already on our production jackets (just no my own prototype). :)

THIS ^^^ is just one More reason why You are THE MAN!
I said it before, but I'll say it again: VERY impressive!

So... I'm curious; do we have any good leads as to exactly what kind of leather was used on the one Ford wears?

Indy has thought of everything....I was really apprehensive about ordering this jacket a few months back due to the lack of pictures of the screen used jacket. But clearly Magnoli has an eye for the smallest details in these pictures. So its safe to stay I cant wait to get my jacket!

The display jacket is listed as "newbuck" [sic]... but I highly doubt that is correct. From the way it hangs, it looks like distressed lamb to be, which is why we used that leather for our jacket.

Indy
Just curious as to how the cowhide option would change the look from the lambskin in the photos?

I think a distressed cowhide would work great for this too, but we'd have to make sure to use a thinner hide as the thicker cowhide wouldn't wrinkle the same at the sleeves and would change the look of the pockets.
