Han Solo: Empire Strikes Back

Love that jacket, looks exactly like the screen one, maybe a little darker, how much would it
Be? I'd love to have an esb solo costume but I'm
Having trouble with well pretty much all of it! Risu, good luck hope
You sort everything out as you need, I've been trying to get a esb costume goin for years but with school and every thing else including money issues getting in the way I've just never gotten round to it. Really hope it works out!

I went up to LA for something else entirely and got really lucky.

Brown wool gabardine that is essentially identical to Han's. I'll also have a pair of Todd's boots on their way to me shortly. I'll be working on this costume again after Wonder Con. Maybe a little bit before as well, if I finish the stuff for the con early.

Magnoli -- I hope this is still on-topic, but I was hoping that you might speak to the Blood Stripes on your "Military Trousers". I could be wrong, so please forgive me if I am, but in the pictures on your website, the each individual stripe seems to "thick" or "tall" to my eye. It could be just the pictures, but the stripes don't appear to be that tall to me when I watch the movies.

Can you please tell us how you arrived at the measurements?

With much respect, thank you!

The photos on our website are outdated and need to be changed. I'll be doing this shortly as well as adding photos of our brown versions. The blood-stripes we currently use are the screen accurate size.

Here is a great shot showing our current offerings:

I love the ANH Shirt I purchased from INDY, its tailor made and wonderful, I have to work on my ESB next. I highly recommend MAGNOLI

OK guys, Magnoli's stuff is great, but let's keep it just a bit on topic.

Todd's boots are back in stock and are totally awesome. I do have to bring them to a shoe repair place to get the calves stretched and I'll need to flatten off the tops because they made them curved-top like normal equestrian boots for some reason. I also picked up one of Striker's cold cast brass scopes for the blaster and it's really great. It has a pretty realistic weight and it's cold to the touch like real metal. I can't recommend it enough.

When you take your boots to the cobbler, make sure to adjust the top while you're wearing them. The curve of your leg will offset some of the angle of the tops. I'd love to know how much he adjusts it.

-Todd

Do you have any good shots of the curve that I can bring with me to the place to show them?

Cool, I'll show them that picture when I bring in the boots.

I got the dyed jacket fabric back, and I couldn't be happier with it. It's hard to get a good feel for the color in the picture, but it's a charcoal grey with a slight blue cast. When I take a picture with a flash, it lights up exactly like the photo of the jacket that was sold at prop store (I think it was prop store).

I also took a (slightly) better picture of the brown gabardine for the pants.

It's got a nice shifting color quality, it can have a red hue in certain light, but mostly skews toward green. Once my friend gets her embroidery machine back from the repair shop, I'll send her some strips to embroider the blood stripes.
