Han EE conversion help

Hi all

Some months ago there were quite a few threads about converting/ accurizing a MR Han EE blaster.

One member found a great way to recreate the weathering on the scope mount/ crandle by printing out the chipped paintscheme on waterslide decals.

I even saved the high res pic of it but can´t remember the members name anymore :unsure

Anyone who can help me out?

Thanks in advance,

Markus :)

Indeed it was cking whom made the printable template to use. Myself and Guy Cowen did manual weathering matching the scratch's. If you'd like any tips on what I did just give a shout:)

Here's a quick pic of mine....

Thanks so far gentlemen :)

Actually I´m not planning to convert a EE into a Han hero blaster but using bits and parts of it on my real Mauser.

Right now I have the real C96, real H&W and steel muzzle replica.
The rest of the parts (scope mount and cradle) will come from a cannibalized EE :)

I´m planning to use waterslide decals for weathering, but can´t find any that are usable with my inkjet printer. All I found are sheets for laserprinters :unsure

Anybody willing and able to create a set or two for me???

Since my EE is still packed away in my old house, I´m wondering if the cradle has to be modified in any way or if it can be used out of the box? How is it´s accuracy?

The only thing that you will have to do to the cradle is remove a small pin that mounts into the MR scope and find/make some washers for the scope mount to attach to the body of the mauser.

You should still be able to print these out on your inkjet printer. Just give them time to dry, then give them several coats of clear acrylic spray(allow to dry between coats) to waterproof them. I use this method fairly often in modelling.

Thanks Dan

So there isn´t any big issue reg. accuracy of the cradle?
What about the dovetail mount, was it incorporated in the EE buildup...can´t remember anymore.

The dovetail mount is included in the design. However, it doesn't actually function like the original did. It's just for show.

Thanks again...so I´ll dig out one of my EE´s to cannibalize it for parts :)
