Not sure what cast-N-craft is,
ah, No I buy all mine from the local composite/fiberglass store. I mostly see surfboard manufacture guys in there, and boat guys. Pretty sure they all think I'm nuts.Easy-to-find, cheap clear casting resin sold in local craft stores that does NOT like to cure 100%...

Here here!We're all nuts!
Tip for the OP: The cane is supposed to be a fossilized dino tail. A lot of people presume it's bamboo. Not sure if you knew or not.
stay tunedI would be very interested in buying either a full cane or a kit. which ever you decide to do i would definitely be up for buying it.
Yes, make a two part silicone mould. casting inside a plastic egg sound problematic. These look amazing! I've been trying to do this the last few days by casting one inside a plastic egg-shaped christmas ornament.... WHAT A DISASTER!
Would be cheaper/easier to buy one of yours, but the feeling of problem solving this is what makes this fun.
Do you have any tips on the mold making/casting process? I've seen people do one-part molds for this and it blows my mind. I can't imagine how you would get the mosquitto in there.
Cheers!
