I got mine yesterday and (by all accounts so far), was lucky to get a pair from the 3D printer. I have a .45 and a .50 AE Desert Eagle. If anybody wants, I can try to get some comparison pics of the size relation of the three guns.

Mail came in just now... still no guns. And I was one of the ones who was supposed to get a machine printed out gun. Now others behind me in the list are getting theirs.

Did you send to the right address Tyler?

I'm just really anxious to fill this order and get it over with.

Don't know where you live, but I only live like 500 miles away (he's in northern California and I am in Southern California) and I just got mine yesterday. I threw away the box and didn't think to look so I have no idea how exactly the were shipped other than in a USPS box. I have seen packages take a week plus to go coast to coast if not sent priority or express (and if you have the same luck as me, it probably sat in the mailman's truck for a week before he decided to get his fat ass off the seat and deliver the 'big' box to my front door - no offense meant to any mailperson out there but my mailman is a real pain in the a$$). Normally I would suggest sending him an email or a PM, but given his past history, I am not sure this would help much. He did mention in a recent post about a few orders that would be delayed, perhaps you were one of these people. Have just a little more patience, they may still show up for you tomorrow. I understand patience is hard to come by these days as this project seemed to take the longest time and several people including myself doubted we would ever recieve our goods. I had personally written off ever getting my props and quietly resigned myself to the fact that I had been taken for a ride. I am glad Tyler made good on his promise to deliver, but I have a problem with the fact that some people are getting the poor quality castings and some are getting the more fragile machine made copies. I think Tyler will be doing some damage control in the following weeks to help solve some of the problems he generated. I have no reason to see why you wouldn't get your guns. Tyler has made it clear he intends to get everyone their products (and this is why he is printing them himself instead of just screwing us and walking away with our money).

TK648. As far as the fragility of the 3D printed gun, I would say it is probably a bit on the fragile side. Most notably the trigger and trigger guard (on the M6D). I suspect a drop from any height could also cause the entire thing to break. They are much lighter than I expected. I was planning on actually carrying them and such, but think they will just get finished and displayed in the prop case.

Comparison pics between the M6D, .50AE Desert Eagle, and .45 1911 pistols.

The M6D is pretty close size wise to the Desert Eagle (with the exception of slide length) and a bit larger than the .45. I noticed that the hole in the barrel is not a 1/2" like it should be, but rather more closer to 3/8". It could either mean the whole gun is about 30 percent undersize or I need to drill the hole a bit larger. What say the masses?

This one is too small. From the original model files the M6D should be much larger.

the only reason i thought it was tiny was because the toy master chief i have has the whole "4 fingers in the trigger guard" effect going on, but the gun really seems sorta tiny to mine hands.

ive fired a colt 1911, and a DE before, and the grips are pretty big, and my pinkies dont hang off the side like im drinking tea or something.

they are great looking pistols, but just seem sorta off on scale. i guess i was expecting big, like something a master chief 7'+ tall guy would carry. i guess these are sort of in scale with the costume armor though.

got mine. it's better than what I expected from the reviews posted thusfar, but it still needs a lot of work (all sanding and detailing). That's more do-able than structural defects (warping), but I just probably wont ever get to it... :unsure

To be honest, I wouldn't have paid what I did had I known what the finished product would be, but I'm also glad Tyler has taken it upon himself to fix a broken prop run. He's not a bad guy--we all run into problems with our first big run (sometimes serious), so while it will be hard to regain people's trust, I hope he'll be able to do it.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to locate the trigger, because it probably fell off in shipping... oh boy.

Eric has already been notified that his guns have shipped... what is with this continued banter man?

As far as the scale is concerned it was my understanding that we all agreed the pistols would be scaled down to human size - thus the 3/8ish hole. Forgive me if this was not made clear.

If anybody has any major issues with the guns I sincerely apologize. I wish I had more control over that issue.

At any rate I hope to see how these pistols look after some sanding and painting. Thanks for the buisness.

Well I did get my two guns today, but after a weekend of thinking I never would.

Tyler, you appear so civil on the thread... but when I asked you a simple question of getting a tracking number you exploded at me. And were EXTREMELY rude.

I will never do business with a person like you again.

In case anyone is wondering how this guy treats his customers, the following was me and him going back and forth on PMs. This was all back and forth this past weekend. After reading this, you can imagine how surprised I was I actually received anything from Tyler.

I asked him if there was a tracking number and what service he used this was Tyler's reply

UPS f---tard.

To which I replied:

Wow that wasn't necessary at all. I was just asking for a simple answer, because I have not received my guns at all. Which I payed good hard earned money for.

I ask for a tracking number, or some kind of proof they were shipped to me.

I've been VERY civil about this. At this point I either want my guns, or my money back. If receipt of one of these two things isn't delivered, I will have to claim mail fraud.

A couple minutes later he sent me another PM:

oh and that last one was '@#$%. tard' in case you couldn't figure it out. just wanted to make sure you got it right for when you go crying to the board about it... which I bet is exactly what a person of your, uh, mentality would think to do.

I responded to both with this:

Where did this hostility come from?

Did you intend to just take my money and run? Did you even ship out my guns? Was this to spite me because I was vocal in the forums, like so many other people?

I really thought you were a stand up guy who would come through in the end.

To which his last reply was:

On another note, he shipped these out to me on November 30th, yet on the 29th he told me:

still out of town, but ya I sure shipped um' - to your work addy I believe. Let me dig through my stuff when I get back and get you the tracking number.

I wouldn't have brought any of this up if he had just responded to my tracking number and carrier inquiry in a decent and mature way. I also don't like being lied to either.

It's been a long road, I hope a lot of people have learned from this experience. I don't blame the caster in the least for backing out of this project.

I can't believe that someone putting themselves out there as a professional would be so incredibly rude and crude to a customer, even one who has complained publicly about a product or service. The delays and casting problems can be forgiven, but such a lack of professionalism and courtesy is a death knell in business. If anything, he should have made an EXTRA effort to make sure that the customer was treated with the attention and respect they deserve. I had considered buying one of these myself, once the size issue had been corrected, but I'm unlikely to do so after hearing about this.

In short, bad news about a vendor travels fast...
