HALO PISTOL update Sept. 21

Just noticed this on the side of the box shipped to me:

"You're a major tool. Seriously, Eric. I'll never sell anything to you again... Lame. I bet your co-workers hate you. LOL. (JK)"

Wow... glad you got a laugh out of this... even if that and the PMs were a joke, do you think I'd seriously do business with you again?

If anyone needs a photo of this as proof, I'll gladly take it.

Well, you got what you wanted and both sides know how each other feels. I think everyone's learned from this experience, so let's let this thread just die.

Agreed.

Thanks for your support Jedidentist.

I happen to think threads like this are very important in keeping the folks to do business with on the RPF, and those NOT to do business with on the RPF crystal clear.

I nearly bought into this bill of goods and bought these guns as well. I am very happy I did not, but based on this thread, and the published PM's I think we know who the real ***ktard is.

Berry, I'm sorry you had to be put through that kind of personal abuse just because you persistantly asked for what you paid for. Absolutely no call for it.

wow.....

just.... wow.

gotta admit, i did NOT see this one coming. i knew there might be bad blood between buyer/seller due to , you know, this entire thread, but good lord.

something tells me someones halo selling days are coming to a screeching halt.

chris

Wow, I would not touch anything that Tyre built with a ten foot pole after that. I am sorry you had to go through all of that to get something YOU PAID FOR.

I will make sure to spread the good word when I can about his business, or lack of business after this episode.

I am glad you got your guns after all Berry it is just sad you had to deal with this.

Take care,

Tom

BTW, people do need to see this thread so they can make an educated decision on dealing with this person.

By the looks of it. Sentence sturcturing. I think you have made this all up. So you could openly slander another board member who hit a coupple of bumps on his project which caused you to wait a little longer. (JUST MY OPINION) :)

No.. this was seriously on the side of the box in pen. I'm not trying to slander a member here. I'm just trying to share my experience. Weather it was a joke on his part (he did put "j/k") or a weird sense of humor, it was still pretty rude.

I have my guns, but that doesn't forgive him for responding back to me in the manner in which he did.

Was I vocal on this project? Sure I was... and so were others who wanted these just as badly as I did.

Berry

I think he had a right, and a duty, to report his experience, as a warning to others. We're not complaining so much about the project difficulties at this point, as much as we are concerned about the vendor behaving in a childish and unprofessional manner to what was a concerned customer. Think about it from the customer's point of view, and remember, next time, the concerned customer could be you.

And you've proven my point of how immature and unprofessional you are.

How did I make matters worse than they were?

By requesting updates? By wanting a product others and myself paid for after you continually FAILED to meet dates and promises you set forth? I wasn't the only one requesting updates, or disapointed in the quality of these.

I've removed Tyre's flaming post. The staff is currently discussing this situation, and will reach a decision soon.

This thread will remain open as long as people can discuss issues calmly and without attacking each other. Otherwise, it'll be locked up.

if the mods saw fit to remove Tyres post so the community could not read it and decide for themselves then i say it has already been decided to a point. :(

i just mean that in this situation we should all know what is being said so the community can decide for themselves. :)

i think Tyre got in a little over his head on a friendly offer and some did not understand the way the underground prop world works. delays happen , communications fail , suppliers you count on have other priorities and the real world keeps spinning. :angel

this post has been edited by me to add the clarification to my statement

john :cool

Ah, I wondered who Berry was replying to there. I didn't see Tyre's post, but it's really too bad since the photos of the guns posted in the opening pages of this thread look pretty good. The potential of the project was so solid.

Quite frankly I think the fact the Berry never flamed anyone over this situation speaks volume about him, and I'm glad he stood up for himself. :thumbsup

I agree with this statement, so much to say I didn't see the post, and removing it has made me curious about it, but I think we all know what kind of person Tyre can be.

None of that excuses Tyre attacking Berry, or anyone else.

I'm unaware of trekkieb47's past experiences with other sellers, but if you read the entire contents of this thread, from the first post to the last, it really doesn't seem like he was trying to slander the seller. He simply wanted the items he paid for, which apparently everyone else had received... except him. Why he got singled out by the seller is a mystery as there are several other buyers that had been just as vocal as he was about their concerns over getting their items. Then to discover that he was blatantly lied to as to when they were actually shipped... And to top it off, the whole discourse between him and the seller through PMs was beyond rude.

If there were delays in the project then that's understandable, but the complete lack of updates is the reason why circumstances are what they are. Real life does take precedence, but when you've taken people's hard earned cash the very least you can do is take 5 minutes out of your day every few days to turn on your computer and drop a quick message to say, "There's been delays with blah... I'm working on blah to resolve it and I'll get back to you all next Tuesday." or "Sorry, got a work deadline, I can't work on this project for a week, my appologies, so please wait patiently for a week at which time my work project will be done and I will be able to carry on with the project." That's all the buyers wanted... a simple update.

I was very interested in buying a pair of these casts, but early on I got a bad vibe, so I figured I'd wait and see how it turned out. The resin castings weren't nice and clean... that's obvious from the pics, but the rapid prototyped pieces were pretty crap to begin with. Personally, if I had spent as much on these pistols as these buyers did I'd wish I had my $$$ back instead.

The staff has reviewed Tyre's pulled response to Eric, and feel that it is important for it to be posted (in edited form) for those involved in transactions with Tyre. Tyre himself asked that this be put back, so here it is.

Well, did I call it or what? I knew [edited] ol' Berry couldn't resist. Look, in my opinion (and correct me if I am wrong) I've dealt with each and every one of you (except [edited] here) with the utmost respect and professionalism. Yes I wrote these things - and meant them. I wrote those PM's privately for him and I, and since he made this public I don't see why I shouldn't.

Eric has stood publicly at my feet fidgeting for the past 3 months with his head tilted up, knees together, and hands clasped between his thighs screaming 'mow, I want it mooooow'. Eric you ARE a [edited]. You've made a sticky situation even worse at every turn.

And enough with the 'never doing buisness with you again' talk Berry-buns, I already stated that I'LL never do buisness with you again. duh.

I just have one question for you Eric - have you ever [edited]? think about it

Personal attacks are against the rules of the board. It is possible to disagree with another person, but still treat that person civilly.

The staff is still reviewing this incident, so we'd like to remind everyone to please keep this thread on-topic.

Thanks,
Lonnie

That's a very disappointing attitude from Tyler. I was disappointed with this whole deal after some time, and by what I received. Berry had every right to ensure he received what he paid for. Yes, people get sidetracked at times and things come up but that's not an excuse to be a jerk to a customer.

I wouldn't do business again with Tyler after how poorly things were handled, but this attitude he's expressed has reassured that decision. Just shameful.

Glad to hear that Berry finally got his stuff. Sorry to hear that Tyler felt a need to be juvenile.

ive said it once, and ill say it again..

damn.

out of left field, poof, one insane rant for no reason, and focused at a guy who gave good money and never recieved product. :confused
